I'm just watching this 1985 classic from the vaults. BC isn't too bad, still quite funny, but the celebrity audience is so of its time that it has a strange fascination of its own. He's just given a call out to Wincey Willis, for god's sake.

Aarghh! I was chatting to a friend whose name is spelt the other way last night but that's not much mitigation given that 'Connolly' was appearing on the screen in front of me at regular intervals as a helpful reminder. I'm tempted to ask Snake to spare my blushes, but it should probably stand as a testament to the dangers of posting on reduced brain power after a night out.

I really enjoyed the programme, having not seen it for a good 20 years. It brought to mind the Robin Williams Live At The Met set; it was incredibly funny at the time and still holds up now but is maybe underestimated in the memory due to misgivings about the performer's later work.
