    Common currency for tournament success

Evidently, England needs to join the euro:

    2004 - Greece (Portugal)
    2006 - Italy (France)
    2008 - Spain (Germany)
    2010 - Spain (Holland)
    2012 - Spain (Italy)
    2014 - Germany (Argentina)
    2016 - Portugal (France)
    2018 - France (Croatia)

But for Brazil in the inaugural year, it would be a eurozone clean sweep.

Croatia doesn't seem to be making much progress towards joining the Euro, and support seems to be dropping, even though a lot of the economy effectively operates in euro. Argentina are also going to struggle to meet the criteria.

Scotland wouldn't be impressed if England went and joined the euro without them. Perhaps it's more likely the other way round?
