      Yes. In a small club in Philadelphia. Very avuncular. Good songs, well performed. And he had time to talk to members of the audience after the show.

        Good to know. An enormously generous man by all accounts, gave a third of his concert income to charities and spent as much time on social issues as he did on music.

          That said, Regret is very high on my list of 'perfect singles'.

              Ha. I think I recall it from one of his Festive Fifty broadcasts from 1983, all of which I still have on cassette. Anyone who saw New Order on BBC2's Rock Around the Clock a few months later will doubtless concur.
