Alan Sugar makes racist tweet, defends and reluctantly deletes it, and then is forced to apologise.

Earlier the former Tottenham chairman had said his "funny tweet" had been "interpreted in the wrong way as offensive by a few people".

He added: "Frankly I can't see that, I think it's funny. But I will pull it down if you insist."

Wojciech Szczesny's father Maciej is a pundit on Polish TV. He was rightly scathing about Poland's performance. And about his own son, in the scene leading to the goal: "He looked like he was on his way to the off-licence. The Senegalese could just shoot into an empty net. It's embarrassing and shameful."

Christmas in the Szczesny family must be fun. Maciej played in goal for Poland seven times; Wojciech 36. I think the son has one up on his dad there.
