My Dad got given the choice of going to the Falklands, or going to Brunei to teach the Brunei Royal Army how to do stuff. It was a close call, but he decided the tropical paradise would be more beneficial. So we spent two years there. I once once bitten by a monitor lizard, who was sizing me up to see if I was a suitable meal. Luckily for me I tasted shit. Unluckily for me the lizard wasn't radioactive, and therefore I wasn't transferred the superpowers of LIZARDMAN.

Wow! I've never been bitten by anything remotely scary.

I was bitten by a tarantula once but only found out three years later. More prosaically, I have been bitten but a Jack Russel terrier.

              Moving swiftly on...

              Obviously, it's Taiwan.

And back OT, it's clearly Armenia or East Timor.

I was going to stir it up a bit and say Tibet, but everyone loves HHDL so it's not even true. By the 'Palestine' logic, how about Kashmir?

And back off topic, my daughter has a scar on her cheek caused by a peacock's spur.

Sits: you will be delighted to know that I deleted a post, regarding your post. Just out of curiousity, how old was your daughter when this happened?

Was bitten by a snake once. In my backyard in NM. Scared the bejazzus out of Mrs. House Cat. She thought it was rattler. Trip to hospital, injections etc.

I was staying in the Caribbean and woke up on the last morning with two large lumps on my arm: not really painful but very large. Assumed I had been bitten by something in the night but, as we had to pack and fly, wasn't able to investigate further. Three years later, a friend staying in the same bed posted a picture of a baby tarantula in the curtains around the bed. Perhaps, not conclusive evidence perhaps but I am going with it for dinner party stories and online forum anecdotes.
