And Cork arguably providing the shock of the night so far, holding last season's group phase participants scoreless so far. Elsewhere, Dudelange drawing with Videoton is the most notable result.

At least they get to drop down to the Europa League, where they will face another English side, Lincoln.

Right we're off. Crusaders' squad in upcountry Bulgaria is missing only 2 regulars on holiday. Fcuking amateurs considering all the ballyhoo about full-time professional organisation funded by UEFA's money. Still, after the caveman penalties conceded last term maybe an ageing Big Coatesy's not that great a loss.

I went to the second leg this evening, mostly because I haven't seen a Macedonian team before. TNS put in an excellent first half performance and were three goals up at the break. Shkendija clearly had a bit of a rollicking at half time, and put on a better show in the second half. At this point the hosts found themselves in a bit of a no mans land, knowing they still needed to get a couple of goals but that if they conceded then any hope was gone. This meant TNS played quite defensively for much of the second period before they became more attacking in the closing stages. They hit the post near the end which looked like it might be it, before they scored a fourth in the 96th minute. However, despite a few more minutes of stppage time (a visiting player was strechered off just before the goal) they were unable to find the fifth to force extra time. Ultimately TNS left themselves just too much to do after the first leg.

APOEL have gone out to the Lithuanian champions after winning only 1-0 at home.

Sounds like a goalfest in Gobowen and well done Sudova

Crusaders just about avoided a double digit demolition- 0-7, 0-2. Now the EL consolation- probably Olimpija of Ljubljana. Laibach and enjoy the fun

Evidently, gambling sponsorship is forbidden in Norway - Celtic playing in blank shirts tonight.

And the Norwegians should have taken the lead on the stroke of HT.

With PAOK Salonika knocking out Basel tonight, that puts Roma into Pot 2 for the group stage draw. Liverpool need Fenerbahce to dump Benfica out in the next qualifier to be sure of the same seeding and hopefully a fractionally easier draw, although with Valencia likely to be in pot 3 and Inter in pot 4, there are going to be some tough groups this season whatever pot you're in.

Vidi knocking out Ludogorets seems the biggest shock tonight.

Yes, though I doubt anyone expected Basel to get tonked that badly by PAOK

Celtic out at the third qualifying round stage, losing 2-1 away to AEK (3-2 on aggregate).

Fenerbache went out to Benfica, and Spartak Moscow lost to PAOK.
