      Along with Rudolph Valentino.

Fred Astaire also gets a mention in Just Like Fred Astaire by James. And probably dozens of other tunes.

Arnold Schwarzenegger in Jump Around by House of Pain.

If Arnold Schwarzenegger can be considered an actor.

And if Jump Around by House of Pain can be considered a song.

Harpo's Movie Star goes without saying, so let's say it.

And it leads on to songs mentioning directors ("Ingmar Bergman wasn't there or he just didn't care").

"Where Do You Go To My Lovely' also references Zizi Jeanmaire.

Madonna's "White Heat" opens with a direct lift of James Cagney from the movie of the same name.

Not a song but an album title - Dirk Wears White Sox by Adam & The Ants; and Adam dresses up as Clint Eastwood in the Prince Charming video, which also features Diana Dors.

Morrissey has sampled actors, such as Cicely Courtneidge on A Queen Is Dead

Lennon introduces a song on the rooftop concert (filmed for Let It Be) as by Charles Hawtrey and The Deaf Aids, which makes me think he wasn't taking it seriously.

                    And Steiger and Marlon Brando

Crying like a baby thinking about the time
James Dean took that fatal ride, took that ride

James Dean also features in Rock On by David Essex. And James Dean by The Eagles.

As well as about twenty trillion other tunes.

Adam mentions a whole load of them in Hard Men, Tough Blokes, which is far from his finest work, but considering he was between being "mentally closhed" with heavy medication and being sectioned, it's miraculous he came up with anything at all and it has a decent tune.

                          McQueen, Tim Roth
