Quite possible, you know. Is he being up front with Liverpool about continued symptoms? Only the man himself knows that. This is an injury that varies in its time for a full recovery from weeks to months to potentially never. But never days, as Football often believes. Or it could be that in the pre-season game Karius was fine and made an actual run-of-the-mill mistake in spilling a shot, rather than was hampered by injury as we now can reasonably conclude happened in Kiev.
In fact the BBC website has an interview today with an athlete who is fronting up about such a stalled recovery situation.

Kev, another collection of Footballers making bloopers. It happens to them all.
Lets not conflate textbook symptoms of concussion, spatial confusion and lack of accurate motor control, from a player who was subsequently found to have that with a mistake. Karius wasn't responsible for what happened in Kiev.

Rooney's nowhere near as prolific as he was a couple of seasons ago, and although if he gets a half-chance in front of goal or a free pop from 12 yards, more often than not it's in the back of the net, his contribution outside the penalty area is now virtually zero.
Apparently his wages have gone up 150% by virtue of his move to Salford, which I find staggering. We're only too well aware of the financial disparity between the Scottish & English leagues, but Aberdeen have probably the 3rd or 4th highest wage bill in Scotland on an average crowd of 15.5K, so if Salford can pay half as much again (£6K) on crowds of less than 2K I don't see how we'll be able to compete for players if money is the motivation.

Lincoln have completed the season long loan signings of Scott Wharton from Blackburn, and Shay McCartan from Bradford. Superb to have Wharton back, suspect he'll play alongside Waterfall at centre back, allowing Bostwick to play CM. McCartan signed before the friendly against Boston last night and scored (supposedly a nice goal too). Got a nice competitive squad now, with plenty of attacking options.
