Bloody hell, you made a tidy profit on Pell then, if Wimbledon got a fee for him at all off you it was nowhere near £100k. I always liked him and was surprised he drifted out of The Dons side.

Stevie G is apparently in for Jordan Rhodes. Fingers crossed.

Reported in the local media that Alex Woodyard is set to leave Sincil Bank and join Peterborough. Why anyone would want to be part of that cunt's side is beyond me, but i'll very gladly take £225k off Posh.

Confirmed now. Shame he's gone, but he has served Lincoln and the Cowleys especially, very well indeed.

Appears the Mahrez to Man City saga is nearing an end.

I dream of a summer with no "transfer sagas", could we get a Tommy Robinson ( I know that's not his name) style press blackout on them all?

              Finally, a super-injunction that I can support.

We’ve re-signed Jose “pronounced Josie” Baxter from Everton. Another in our series of ex-Evertonians with drug problems, he was outstanding in his first spell for us as a goalscoring attacking midfielder/striker. Flogged to Sheffield United as his contract ran out, but most recently back with Everton.

Sounds like we’ll be losing a few high earners to fund him though - the “mercurial” (ie sometimes very good, sometimes anonymous) Jack Byrne is likely to head to Peterborough, and full backs Ryan McLaughlin (injury prone, versatile) and Rob Hunt (decent) may go too.

So, Fred goes to Old Trafford for £56m, missed the gilt-edged hashtag opportunity, however.

He had to choose between working for Juergen Klopp, who backs the National Health Service or Jose Mourinho who is well known for his Conservative and strongly Catholic views. Would he choose Socialist Juergen or Tory Jose....

                      "Right". said Fred

I was just writing about Mourinho in terms of Cesar Luis Menotti's 'right wing football' theory, as it happens. Nice to have Fred on board. Daft name for a football, never seen him play, couldn't be less enthused if I tried. I miss Veron.

A sign of intent by them prior to their first foray into the Champions League. She will be the highest profile player in a league they won at their first attempt.

Unsurprisingly Everton have to sell before they can buy. I'd take Ashley Williams back like a shot, he's got no future there and looks like he's slowing down.

Joe Allen to Galatasaray is a strong rumour in the Turkish press.

Norwich have signed a young Argentinian forward called Emi Buendia. I'm assuming this is a bad signing because we only seem to make bad signings these days.

His goalscoring ratio hardly inspires confidence. Positively Heskey-esque... and I'm not talking about his Leicester and Liverpool days.

Jonny Evans goes to Leicester, which makes more sense than the likes of Man City, Arsenal etc he was linked with in recent windows.
Not a big distance between West Brom and Leicester, he could take a taxi...

Shrewsbury have signed Fejiri Okenabihri from Dagenham. He scored a hat trick for England in the C international I went to in March. I remember thinking how on earth he wasn't playing at a higher level.

I'm quite pleased with this news!

Seems a regular scorer, going by the BT highlights show.

I think Leicester also made an offer in January. It was a lot more than the reported £3 million they finally got him for.

Jonny Evans would actually have been a decent signing for Man City. He may not be anyone's idea of Franco Baresi, but he could actually do the things that pep guardiola wants his centre halves to do. From Guardiola's point of view it's more important that his defenders can operate as a cog in his machine, rather than be ostentatiously good in the traditional sense.

I see that Harry Kane has signed a 6 year £200k a week contract at spurs.

Joe Allen in a Neil Warnock side? That would be like getting Elvis to front Napalm Death.
