No twatball this year unfortunately. The bloke who does it is obviously recovering from a serious illness. Wish him the best of health.

quick twatball update
as mentioned above health issues are preventing albert from running the game in the normal manner with the website and all.
However I am willing to step in for the short term like David Pleat and run the game much as I did in its original incarnation back in misty 2004, ie using a spreadsheet. It wont be open to the wider public but I'll take entries from a couple of other forums and from here if there is interest.
Squads wont be finalised till Monday 4th so hopefully I can start taking entries by Tuesday or Wednesday, and deadline will be Wednesday 13th at some point - I'll just ask you to write your team out on here. Scoring system and selection rules will be much the same as previously so 1 GK, 10 outfielders and no more than 3 from any one nation. So you can start thinking about your picks if you like, but please don't post selections yet until I confirm the rules
Should be able to put everything onto a google spreadsheet that will visible to all so you can see league tables, player scores, etc. What I won't be able to do is score it live but will generally try and get scores in before the next days games begin.

Ok
Please see the document below (probably best viewed on a computer rather than a phone) to see how it's going to work this year. You should be able to view all tabs but hopefully not edit them.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing
This has the official player list, details of the scoring system and once the tournament is up and running will display scores, most popular selections etc. I will try and get a more detailed scoreboard on there later so you can see who your rivals have picked.
You can now start submitting entries by posting them on here. I would really appreciate it if you could list your 11 players for reference, and then write out on one line all the corresponding IDs from column A on the player list with a space between each one. This will allow me to get the data in with minimal fuss
example:
Jordan Pickford
Dele Alli
Pepe
Luis Suarez
Ever Banega
Paul Pogba
Lionel Messi
Mario Mandzukic
Luka Modric
Tim Cahill
Mesut Ozil

AG's B&W Minstrel tribute act struck me. But Feisty Fab's my fave

Nieuwegein Kneebiters are back! As usual, we're spreading the team arond all groups, to ensure that I have a stake in the games every day. I had considered going for the Brazilian keeper instead of the Australian one, to cash in on a planned blowout in a later stage, but I expect Brazil to keep too many clean sheets in the group.

I haven't heard of most of the players, and I don't fully understand the rules. I'm the Bobby Robson of this game.
