Again, not so much a 'toy' as an 'unusual' instrument, but Hannah Peel (her out of Magnetic North / Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve) seemed to be playing a mini hand-held pianola at The Biggest Weekend in Belfast yesterday...

Blimey, page two and no one's mentioned Crosstown Traffic and its kazoo madness?

"Da, Da, Da" by Trio. (Casio VL Tone)

*Might be wrong, but from memory it certainly sounds like one.

          Isn’t that a flute?

The Logical Song by Supertramp features a sound chime from a Mattel Electronics hand-held football* game. I had the game at the time, and hearing it on the Supertramp track sort of freaked me out.

There's what sounds like a rubber duck at the conclusion of The Nice's Little Arabella.

If that's a flute, it's certainly a magical one to get that sound out of it.

According to Wiki, it's a comb and paper. Although that's nitpicking.

Adding to the list of songs on which the Stylophone is used, Orbital's "Style" has one carrying the melody. Also features a sample from "Oh L'Amour" by Dollar, making it a crossover with any future Records Featuring Thereza Bazar thread.

A second mix of "Style" features bagpipes instead. I'm going to stop short of suggesting that would also qualify for this.
