Strangely, both clubs closest rivals, Cirencester and Kidlington respectively, are placed in the opposite divisions.
The longest journey below the National League second tier is not in Step 3 but in Step 4, where the East/West split has meant that Morpeth will have to travel 223 miles to get to Wisbech and vice versa. Expect that game to be arranged for a Tuesday night in January.
Will this be the highest level that Corinthian Casuals have ever played at?

They were in the sole/top division of the Isthmian League from the post-WWII merger to the early seventies, not quite sure how that compares to being in it’s top flight now.

I presume they will maintain their status as England’s highest placed entirely amateur side.

I wondered how they got to this level too, assuming they've continued to maintain their traditional amateurism. Back in the day (early 60s) they were regularly outclassed by most of the rest of the league. In the first twenty post-war years they finished bottom five times, and only once above half-way. Admittedly the top clubs in the Isthmian back then were virtually (but illegally) professional, nevertheless Corinthian Casuals, along with Clapton, were pretty much permanent bottom feeders. I reckon it's way more of an achievement for them to be at step three today.

Basically they've got a very good manager and the league they just got promoted out of is weak (and they were very lucky to get promoted after finishing 5th and losing the playoff final). Hard to see them not struggling next season though.

What are the thoughts on sharing with them, SSK?

It's about the least worst option from what we can realistically do but Tolworth isn't Kingston and I hate that we've been forced out of our home town.

Surely someone in Guernsey's league has the longest journey?

Guernsey cover travel expenses for visiting teams, their location for league allocation purposes is considered to be gatwick, where channel islands flights fly from

Oh, that's interesting. How on earth do they afford it? Are they owned by a tax-dodger?

Not great for the supporters of visiting teams.

They're well supported. Third highest in the entire Isthmian league, but I'm not sure it's enough to cover all the oppo's traveling expenses.

Most Ryman Prem supporters are desperate for them to get promoted so we can go there.

I saw them at Wembley on their rapid rise through the Combined Counties. Quite a few of their fans turned up.

Yeah, despite the expense much more of an awayday to look forward to than another fuckin trek to South Mimms Town or whatever

Met Police's ludicrous appeal against being correctly placed in the Southern League has been quite rightly rejected.

In a development that is both surprising and not at all surprising, Shaw Lane have withdrawn from the NPL and effectively folded as their chairman has taken his ball home. Karma, eh, Craig?

Just 21 at Step 3 in the NPL then next season?

A sponsor covers all the travel costs and hotel expenses for visiting teams and Guernsey's away matches. This was announced when they entered the pyramid initially. It was part of the agreement to allow them to enter.
