The Nexen on Man City's sleeve and the Yokohama on Chelsea's shirt are pleasing to see
It would be nice if Nexen could spell "tyre" correctly tho:
Yokohama's official company name is also spelt "tire", but at least they switch to English English when sponsoring an English team.

Villa launched a new third kit at Yeovil in the League Cup last night. It’s generally not terrible but looks less like a football kit and more like the uniform for the crew of a starship in a 1983 US sci-fi TV show.
The badge is a shocker though.

What was their change kit, I can’t recall it.

Forest Green Rovers and Hummel are having a very public spate at the moment (well, FGR are slating Hummel left, right and centre).
With the home kit still having not been delivered nearly 3 weeks into the season, the club have taken to putting the advertising logos for Hummel upside down (apologies for sizing, I've simply copied from elsewhere):
They've also turned the logo upside down on their website.
Maybe the Hummel workers just can't bring themselves to do those stupid stars on the back of the shirts.
What's hilarious is the reaction by their fans on their forum, and the fact that a number of them genuinely believe that letting FGR down will massively impact on Hummel as a brand. Delusion of the very highest level from some of their fanbase.

They're not alone with problems with hummel, Bohs brought out a special "limited edition " cup shirt this year. The team's kit only arrived last Friday on the morning of the game and latest delivery time for replicas is next Wednesday

It is with considerable disappointment that I report the River Plate shirt I posted a few pages ago turns out to have been a fake (one that, I hasten to add, fooled at least one national news outlet as well as me). The actual one was released on Wednesday ahead of its debut this weekend, and while it's not bad, it falls down by not having the sash going over the shoulder. Why anyone from Adidas is ever allowed to get away with designing a River Plate shirt without the sash going right over the shoulder, I don't know. Given the lack of chest sponsor this time, they were so close to perfection, and yet ... so far.
Modelled here by Colombian World Cup star Juanfer Quintero.

At least I can save my money. Sigh.
