I mean, it looks OK I suppose but these reasons for issuing commemorative one-off shirts are getting increasingly flimsy.

"You know that big game we lost?"

    "Yeah."

"Well... let's wear a knock-off of the shirt of the team we lost to."

    "Love it."

I too love that ThelikesofDoncaster third shirt. Except for...

It's pointless. With this year's crimes against humanity home kit being predominantly white with a red helter skelter, what is the point of a white shirt with a Year Two isosceles triangle work sheet on the front?

Be a fair number of colour clashes I reckon.

Guaranteed to get the undoubtedly large number of Romanians who live within the catchment area to support the club

Ah, the good old short-sleeved shirt and gloves combo.

It's like the Andorran national team's mid-90s change shirt

Only saw Dundee’s recently launched third kit tonight and it is...er, striking :

That is the cap badge for Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, apparently sales of the kit raise funds for a serviceman’s charity.

And they won. 2 reasons to dislike them tonight, then

Well come on, they beat Hearts which has to be good. I actually like the shirt, possibly because it looks like Slayer merch though that does have dodgy connotations.

And I'm afraid the Dark Blues are my notional side in Dundee - the colour being a significant part of that.

not if you want other teams, like Hearts, to challenge the OF this year.

                        As for the shirt-
It looks like fascist art and military emblems on football shirts would appeal to fascists, so I'm dead agin' it

Hearts are too far back now, aren't they? It's up to Kilmarnock or Aberdeen to do the deed.

I think Hearts are pretty shot on the whole "challenging the Old Firm" front this season - and on a night when Kilmarnock beat Rangers to be one of the three non-Glasgow clubs in a better position than them it doesn't seem such a problem (edit: cross-post with Kevin).

Much as I object to the military porn that's infecting sport I will admit to generally being a sucker for totalitarian iconography and design. I imagine it works for a lot of people, which is why it works.

Could have been so much better.

                                Sigh.

What annoys me most for some reason is that the little lines pointing to the maple leaf and crest are kinked. Would we not have been able to handle straight lines? Detail for the sake of detail.

There are objections by some to the leaf anyway. To them it suggests the 1979 team were Canadian Champions rather than North American ones. Also complaints about the red numerals, and the fact the hoop isn't also on the sleeves as it used to be. People are pleased that the hoop goes all the the way around though. As I (and you) can testify this is a sore point when your team wears hoops.

                                      Absolutely.

                                        Point of information, chair:

Hearts are 6 pts behind Rangers. If they’d beaten Dundee, 3.

And 12 points off the leaders Celtic, 9 if they had beaten Dundee. Surely the possibility of winning the SPL is the important factor, not just splitting the Glasgow clubs and getting second place, especially given that Rangers haven't actually finished top two for the last six seasons.

True but my criterion/desire was challenging the old firm, both of them, whichever of them.

And anyone finishing ahead of Stevie Gs Gers in his 1st season would be very sweet.

It wouldn't be quite so bad if it weren't for that none-more-70s font shadow pattern.
