Laois eventually grind it out, defeating Carlow 0-11 to 0-8. Incredible comeback by Clare, coming from four down on 65 minutes to defeat Tipp by two. The Premier and Waterford are both eliminated, while any two of Cork, Clare or Limerick can qualify for the Munster final.

A very quiet week at the height of the season, with no Saturday distractions from Group D:
Football: Galway v Roscommon
The first provincial decider, with the Rossies perhaps the forgotten champions of 2017. The Hyde will be a favourable factor, but the Tribesmen should prevail, with their 2018 form based on supreme defensive structures.
Hurling: Limerick vs Clare
Results effectively render this a semi-final, with Cusack Park sold out. Clare have shown strength of character against Tipp, but the Shannonsiders have been surprisingly consistent, and just get the nod to reach the final.
Munster SHC: Cork v Waterford
The Déise have only pride to play for, and with Cork unbeaten to date, they should easily book a Munster final berth.Last edited by Diable Rouge; 15-06-2018, 20:28.

Munster SFC: Kerry v Cork
The Kerry faithful get their first visit to Páirc Uí Chaoimh Nua, as the county pursues its 80th provincial crown. This is the point where I say platitudes like "It's always a tough game in Cork, etc", but a neutral observer would suggest a 3-5 point win for the Kingdom is probable.
Ulster SFC: Donegal v Fermanagh
Could Rory Gallagher be poised to end the GAA's most famous provincial drought with a win against his former charges? They certainly have the solid defensive structure required for the task, but Donegal's remarkable scoring power in hitting 2-20 against Cavan, and 2-22 versus Down, suggests a comfortable triumph for the Tír Conaill outfit.
Leinster SFC: Dublin v Laois
From a time within living memory when Meath and Kildare were formidable opponents and All-Ireland contenders, the Leinster Championship now more resembles the Scottish Premiership in terms of competitiveness. For a promoted Division Four side like Laois, victories over Wexford, Westmeath and Carlow have already exceeded expectations, so they will at least hope to avoid Tyrone and Mayo in the final qualifier draw.
As for this week's qualifiers, most appear predictable, though the Ulster and Leinster derbies could be toss-ups:
Waterford vs Monaghan
Cavan vs Down
Tipperary vs Mayo
Clare vs Offaly
Leitrim vs Louth
Sligo vs Armagh
Longford vs Kildare
Carlow vs Tyrone

What a bizarre game - Kerry lead by double scores, despite appearing wide open in defence, and Cork haven't scored since the 9th minute. As you say, the ref seems to have gone against the home side with the marginal calls, especially a 45 that wasn't late in the half.
