Today, an Italian friend on Facebook shared the below ...which I then duly re-shared, of course!

I think it's a great summation of the times we live in. Voter indifference/disenchantment + NIMBY populism = a formula for a perfect storm of lowest-common-denominator politics.

However, rather than post it in isolation, I thought I'd rather start a thread about great politically-oriented cartoons (even though it could end up being rather depressing).

I've probably told this story before, but I briefly had an office where the occupant before me had covered an entire wall in Steve Bell cartoons.

When he handed it over to me, he explained that this was the "Wall Of Shit". To pass the time on slow afternoons, he and his writing partner would pretend to be Steve Bell going through the process of coming up with one of the individual cartoons.
