Wow, we've really arrived as a football culture, haven't we?

Oh - NYCFC supporters groups are bloody awful. A Mancunian friend got caught up in a bit of verbal with one of them and it deteriorated extremely quickly. It was terrifyingly similar to shit I saw in the 1980s apart from I was no longer a kid and was likely to get the shit beaten out of me for being there.

Last year, by starting Brek Shea in the playoff game, Vancouver accidentally triggered a clause in his contract for 2018 which is why he was around this year.

This year, someone in Orlando's front office forgot to tell the new coaching staff hired midway through the year that one of their players had a similar clause, and it got triggered by starting him in the last game of the season. General consensus is Will Johnson.

Atlanta and MetroStars advance to the eastern finals. SKC and Portland in the other. I don’t have anything for or against any of these teams, so I guess i’ll hope for Portland because the Dream of the 90s is alive there.

Bethlehem Steel have been told they can't play at Lehigh University any more because it no have lights. So in 2019 they play in...the Union's stadium in Chester.

I would have liked the FCC logo more if under the slanted line was a pile of that abomination they call chili there.

FC Cincinnati will be in the Carolina Challenge Cup along with the Fire, the hosts, and TBD. They also are being considered part of the same expansion draft as LAFC when they take their turn in December, and the teams that lost a player to LAFC can't lose one to FCC. They get 5 picks, same as LAFC did.

The NPSL is launching a pro league alongside their amateur. 11 teams to play a cup from August to November in 2019, then a full league schedule in 2020. One of whom is the Cosmos.

The TBD for the Carolina Challenge Cup is Columbus.

Oscar Pareja leaves Dallas to manage Xolos. With an out clause if he's offered the USMNT job. For which, it seems only he and Berhalter were interviewed. The manager just fired at Real Madrid was interested in it and the Fed didn't even bother calling him back.

Guiseppe Rossi would like to play for one of the New Yorks.]

LAFC have brought in a center back on loan from Colombia; one of the other clubs there would like to loan in Jonathan Osorio from TFC.

There's also a rumor that Altidore will go to Tigres in exchange for 2 players.

                                      Orlando fired their GM.

Roster cuts are being made across the league now before the MLS version of free agency kicks in around the expansion draft early next month, Ashley Cole the most notable name.

Cincinnati's starting to build their MLS roster a player or two at a time.

Portland going this deep in the playoffs has pushed back the renovation schedule on their stadium, so they will probably play the first dozen or so on the road next year.

And for reasons that to me surpasseth understanding, Manchester City seems to be about to pay between $7-$10M to Columbus for Zach Steffen.

One of the funniest things I have read in a while is the rumor that Alan Pardew is up for the Atlanta job. I can't believe they'd be that dumb, but I really hope they are.

MLS is now the only competition shown live on a free channel in NZ, so I really had to watch the final, before going cold turkey. Not a thriller, too one-sided, though in that regard no worse than dozens of FA Cup Finals I've seen over the years. And plenty of Big Days in other countries' sporting calendars would love such a huge crowd. Atlanta earned it for that alone.

Home openers out fairly soon, right now DC hosts Atlanta to start as one of them on 3/3/19.

TFC gets Clint Irwin back and took Nick DeLeon in the waiver draft. 800 million other players changed teams via trade and waiver draft and FCC expansion draft, and Brad Evans retired today. Playoffs are now one and done all the way up the bracket, and top 7 in each conference make it as of next year.

David Villa is involved with a USL expansion team project for Queens in 2020 who wish to build the standard 10-25K seat stadium out by the Mets.

Nacho Piatti goes home after next season.

FCD's academy director is their new coach.

Dave Sarachan is now coaching North Carolina FC in USL.

The Camp Cupcake friendlies are Panama and Costa Rica.

Also, Ottawa Fury don't currently have a league to play in after CONCACAF wouldn't sign off on them being in USL and not the coming CPL.

Also, a 3 way trade: Kelyn Rowe from NE to SKC, Diego Rubio from SKC to Colorado, and Edgar Castillo from Colorado to NE, with allocation dollars sprinkled along the way.

TFC signed a 14 year old to their reserve team.

Current frontrunner to coach Atlanta is Frank de Boer.
