Just read this from Palestinian poet

        Khaled Juma

        Oh Rascal Children Of Gaza

        Oh rascal children of Gaza,
You who constantly disturbed me with your screams under my window,
You who filled every morning with rush and chaos,
You who broke my vase and stole the lonely flower on my balcony,
        Come back –
        And scream as you want,
        And break all the vases,
        Steal all the flowers,
        Come back,
        Just come back…

By convincing vaguely progressive people that to criticise Israel is a form of antisemitism. Thereby ensuring they remain silent

One word: hasbara. It's not a matter of media or audience "fatigue", it's more that the kind of daily repression that went on there is either unreported, or when stories manage to seep out, spun like this:

Ahed Tamimi: Palestinian heroine or dedicated trouble-maker?

                  By Ian Lee, CNN

The latest shows the 16-year-old punching a heavily-armed Israeli soldier on her family's property last December. Tamimi can be heard yelling, "get out or I'll punch you!" The soldier pushes her away.
The clip has captured imaginations and divided assessments in the region and further afield - the court of public opinion trying the case, as it always does, on the internet.
For supporters, the video showed an inspirational heroine and an international symbol of Palestinian resistance to Israel's occupation. By contrast, many Israelis focused on the behavior of the soldiers. Some praised them for showing restraint; others said they had showed weakness, with the video itself dismissed as a PR stunt.

Ahed has been called "Shirley Temper" because of her long ginger curls, and has been accused of starring in carefully choreographed "Pallywood" videos, a dismissive characterization of protests considered staged for the camera.

Perhaps this unruly little girl could use some discipline. See how composed and tolerant the soldier is. You don't need to know that his patrol shot and killed several members of her family, they were probably just engaging in terror activities, surely, just like her cousin who was shot point blank in the head at a protest.

Ahed Tamimi and Her Family Aren't the Palestinian Saints You Want Them to Be

Promote the blood libel? Check. Glorify terrorism? Check. Celebrate Israeli deaths? Check. Ahed Tamimi and her family aren't fighting for peace, and they're not just fighting the occupation: They're fighting to destroy Israel, and their fight is seasoned with Jew-hatred

And those are some of the most liberal MSM outlets.

This is the real Tamimi family story from TeleSur:

Israeli education minister Naftali Bennett has declared that the “era of the Palestinian state” is over, renewing calls for the annexation of land in the occupied West Bank, reported Arutz Sheva.

Bennett, who heads the coalition party Jewish Home, yesterday spoke at a meeting of his faction, attacking Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas.

“The time has come to think about the day after, and the time has come for us to all internalise the end of the era of the Palestinian state, and the beginning of the era of sovereignty,” a reference common amongst the Israeli right to the formal annexation of some or all of the occupied West Bank.

“Abbas and the idea of a Palestinian state are fading away, and the man has lost his connection to reality,” Bennett added.

Evil. The logic of this is full Israeli civil rights for Palestinians, or mass “population transfer” to god knows where.

But that five-year-old does not recognise Israel and wants to drive Israel into the sea. Israel is just defending itself.

The withdrawal of funding from the UNRWA. It's at best collective punishment (and therefore a war crime) isn't it? Deliberately starving refugees for the crime of being Palestinian? Frankly I'd call it genocide.

South Africa says at the UN that "Israel is the only apartheid state in the world". I like the way the guy says the word "apartheid" in a heavy Afrikaans accent, recalling the way its practitioners used to say it.

6 year old boy dies 3 years after being hit by an Israeli missile. Don't look away. This is what it is all about. This 6 year old boy murdered by a brutal racist regime that considers him less than human. Read it. Please read it. It's massively important stuff.

(Technically he was 6 when they blew him up for being too Palestinian, 9 when he died)

Today's Ahed Tamimi's 17th birthday. She is spending it in an Israeli military prison while awaiting trial for slapping Israeli soldiers who entered her village. She has been detained for 44 days.

                                        Elsewhere in the occupied territories
Israeli authorities deported a 14-year-old epileptic Palestinian girl from the West Bank to the Gaza Strip earlier this month, without notifying her parents, and despite the fact that she has never lived there a day in her life.
