Saracens still 7th in the table, but will be out if La Rochelle and Ulster win today.

Midi Olympique is praising Leicester for going for the win rather than taking a relatively easy kick, as a draw would have qualified Saracens at Racing's expense.

La Rochelle are winning but Ulster are not.

I'd like to see Scarlets get a home quarter final and for Saracens to go out.

Christian Wade has a moment of brain freeze and Ulster score to level.

La Rochelle score a try and are currently top.

I'll be greedy and say no English side then. 4 French sides for a nation that does not travel is impressive if you know nothing about rugby. For those who know it's expected, they are good and do take European rugby seriously.

Wasps score a great try to lead Ulster after half an hour.

Ulster need a win to top the group and a bonus point one for a home quarter final, that is looking tough at the moment.

Though it is interesting that the French clubs’ league and European form diverge considerably.

Montpellier lead the Top 14, but are out of Europe, while Clermont and Stade Francais are currently 10th and 11th in the table. La Rochelle (2d) have been the most consistent on both fronts.

I think the London based media loves to belittle the French clubs, bar Saracens, Leinster and sometimes Munster it's almost always French clubs reaching the semis.

Wasps score their third try and now lead Ulster 19-7.

                      Harlequins score against La Rochelle.

Wasps have their fourth and Ulster are as good as out.

Castres took an early lead against Munster away, they have nothing to play for but could spoil the party.

What do Franchise RFC need to happen to qualify...and how can we stop it occurring?

                            They are out.

Even with a bonus point win, they would only have 17 points, one fewer than Saracens or Bath (neither of whom will qualify if La Rochelle and Munster hang on).

That’s what I thought but I’m sure Sky’s commentary team on the Stade Rochelais v Quins game said they could somehow sneak in and there was one similar comment on BBC NI Sport’s Twitter :

                              How're your nerves?

The game in underway in Coventry as Ulster and Wasps look to make the last eight in the European Champions Cup

Saracens are through now then, according to Sky.

La Rochelle had to lose Ray. They didn't.

La Rochelle or Munster will be the final home quarter finalist.

Saracens sneak through because of a whipping guy in their pool.

Yeah, I forgot that it is best three second place teams, rather than three non-group winners with the most points.

We need Munster to hang on.

The bonus point should give Munster the home quarter final (with Leinster, Clermont and Scarlets)

                                            That's what I've got too.

I don't think there is any football style rule in place so you can draw a side from the same group or federation.

                                                Is that the draw?

Home sides are always favourites and it's difficult to see past the four home sides.

29 March to April 1st are when the games will be played.

That is the draw, and demonstrates just how important that bonus point was for Munster.

Not really a surprise and with a few weeks before the next round of PRO14 matches it gives the club some time to name a replacement.
