10/10. As I did with the Guardian one last week. This is kind-of my Mastermind subject, sad to report

Except Mastermind don't do picture rounds, so your specialist subject round would involve John Humpries giving long and vivid descriptions of Archibald Leitch designed stands for you to identify.

                      8/10, mostly from gut instinct.

8/10, and like S. of the S., knew one was wrong as soon as I clicked...

10/10. Not really based on recognising the stadiums, more using the host of other clues available (sponsors, kits etc.) in each image.

My Homer Simpson fingers kept pressing names accidentally and giving wrong answers. But my score would have been 5 or 6 anyway.

6/10. Disappointing as I've been to quite a few of the grounds pictured in the pre-Premier League era.

Yes, that gave me half my correct answers. Rugby post, Lancashire post, etc. (Still did rubbish).

The Guardian one had fewer clues, the picture of the Kop was remarkable for its absence of them, despite hundreds of faces.

9/10. Annoyed but really struggled with the one I didn't get.

9/10. One was a pure guess as there was absolutely no clue from the ground itself. I got the first one wrong, and I'm a bit annoyed about that as I thought it was a ground I'd been to and it's actually one I haven't. Perhaps that start made me concentrate a bit harder.

I've seen Argyle play at all the grounds bar one in the state that they appear in the photos. The one I haven't was the one I didn't get.

That was a clue rather than a red herring, though. In fact recognising the two teams involved was enough to allow the answer to be logicked out from the image. Neither Old Trafford or Anfield were offered as possible answers, so anyone recognising the sides couldn't be misled into answering one of those. Of the four possible options offered, the dark blue styling on the stand fascias and pillars discounted Man City and Arsenal as neither would have used that colour paint. So that just left Chelsea and Everton as possible answers, which clearly meant it was Goodison as that is a neutral venue the FA would use for a Man United vs Liverpool match, whilst Stamford Bridge was not.

To take the theme of a song sung by Evertonians, "And if/You know/Your Archibald Leitch signatures" then it was quite straightforward. Cheers, Simon Inglis.

Thanks to an educated guess on the "Lancashire Post" (?) one.
