I would dispute the watch thing though; Yul Brynner did it on a Parky interview in the mid 70s.
BtW I've only ever seen clothes like the picture under the juve team, (where he's wearing some sort of goggles) once before, and those colour "Jeans" were on the ample frame of Dermot Desmond coming out of the powerscourt shopping centre. Are wearing jeans that look this grim how you show off that you're such a billionaire, that you don't care if you look this absurd.

Looks like a busy window for us. We're rumoured to be finalising a takeover or new investment this week, subject to FA approval.
In the meantime, eight out:
Jack Byrne, Kean Bryan, Eoin Doyle, Ben Wilson, Jack Ruddy loans ended. Queensy Menig loan ended early. Peter Clarke (club captain) packed off, very slowly, to Bradford on loan. Ollie Banks likely to be released to Tranmere after his dad's hissy fit at him being recalled from loan. And more likely to follow.
And four in, subject to registration restrictions (relating to the takeover or FFP, we're not sure):
Zeus de la Paz (Curacaon goalkeeper - our second Curacaon international)
Patrick McEleney (one of the best players in Ireland, apparently)
Ben Pringle (on loan)
Kundai Benyu (winger on loan from Celtic)

Mc Eleney is a cracking player alright, nearly had his own goal of the season competition last year, remains to be seen how he can perform in the 3rd division but previous players who've gone over like Chris Forrester and Paddy Madden (and indeed Eoin Doyle ) have thrived

Benyu was highly regarded by the academy coaches at Ipswich, by all accounts, but annoyed McCarthy a couple of times and thus had no future at the club. He never played for the first team but even so most supporters were disappointed to see him go. He's a central midfielder rather than a winger, I think.
Very tall striker Kieffer Moore has left Ipswich for Barnsley. Strange one, this. Moore joined Ipswich from Forest Green for £20,000 last January and in his 11 brief substitute appearances for Town looked less like a professional footballer than anyone since Gerry Creaney. But 13 goals while on loan at Rotherham later, he became the subject of bids from a handful of clubs and has brought in £750,000. Shame he didn't join Rotherham on a permanent basis after what he'd done there.

Dundee Utd sign 3: Craig Slater (ex-Killie, St Mirren midfielder) from Colchester; Lyng, former Denmark u-21 striker, from an Icelandic team I won't attempt to spell and Brandon Mason on loan from Watford, left back.
If anyone's seen anything of these three I'd be interested. 7 goals in 21 games for Lyng in Iceland doesn't sound heather-lighting, but there has been a perceived need for a 'big target man' so maybe that's his game.
edit: BBC says 'He began his career with AGF Aarhus before moving to Lille in France and spells with Zulte-Waragem in Belgium, Lausanne Sport in Switzerland and three clubs back in his homeland' and it was 9/21, not 7.Last edited by Felicity, I guess so; 09-01-2018, 10:25.

It makes a certain amount of sense in the short term, what with Gabriel Jesus being out for a couple of months and requiring backup to Aguero with a quadruple not completely implausible, a prospect made a little easier if you can rest your main striker once in a while.

A couple of things going on at Oxford United which show how complicated signings can be.
Oxford's goalkeeper Simon Eastwood is apparently wanted by Barnsley. He's pretty good. Oxford would need a replacement and have apparently in the short term thought about getting in Freddie Woodman from Newcastle 3rd choice there but young and they say highly rated. He's the son of former Oxford keeper Andy Woodman. But for Woodman to go out on loan, someone else has to come in to Newcastle. It's like a complicated house sales chain.
meanwhile young Cameron Brannagan is rumoured to be coming in from Liverpool on two year contract. We've already signed two young Evertonians John Lundstram who went to Sheffield United and Ryan Ledson, rumoured to be wanted by Preston.

For Guardiola, Sanchez's tackling back, athleticism and winning attitude outweigh Aguero's volume of goals. It's a player he knows and likes, and having launched Sanchez's elite level career by signing him for Barca, the feeling's probably mutual. It would be amusing if Sanchez signs and City's form suddenly drops off a cliff, costing them the title. Sanchez as Rodney Marsh, Aguero as Wyn Davies?

No disrespect to Scott Arf, but Moyes must be mad. Arfield is out of contract in the summer and he doesn't bring anything more to the table than "he runs about all day". The man is a legend in Claret circles for important winners, not least in derbies but if West Ham are offering £2m and a pay rise for a guy we signed four years ago after he was released by Huddersfield then the entire club would say "Scotty, just take the fucking money".
