    RIP Malcolm Young

Aged 64. Obviously he had dementia but still a shock. While all attention was on Angus and Bon Scott, Malcolm was the absolute heart of the band. His playing shows shows how rhythm guitar is a completely different role within a band or should be, at least. There is a video of Malcolm's rhythm track to "Let There Be Rock" in isolation that is absolutely amazing easily as good as anything Angus did on lead. Indeed, there is Angus' rhythm track from the same track and the difference in precise timing is noticeable.

Rhythm guitar is indeed a different art, and there can't be many better than Malcolm in his prime. RIP.

Still. Hell ain't a bad place to be.

Shit, and that comes a month after the death of older brother George (him of Vanda & Young).
