I forgot about Denzel Washington. And Charlize Theron is usually strong too. So many.

Naomi Watts in Mulholland Drive was something else. Even if I wasn’t tripping balls first watch, the scene where she does the audition after her earlier Betsy Betsy line reading with Camilla, fucking hell.
It’s a pity almost everything she’s been in since has either been worthy rubbish like 21 grams, or piss poor shite like King Kong. Though she’s usually very good herself. But not in the Diana flick, holy fuck. I’ve never seen such mince outside that 80s Beach Boys biopic. That shit was beyond woescious. A bit worried my ma kept watching it, despite saying she hated it. One day I’ll come back for Christmas and there’ll be commemorative plates bought from the Express all over the living room (suddenly out of bounds “front room” and for “guests”).Last edited by Lang Spoon; 17-11-2017, 19:44.

I too love Denzel Washington, but he's blotted his copybook a bit in recent years. The Equalizer was a massive pile of mediocrity (I was gutted because I liked the Edward Woodward series and desperately wanted the Denzel movie to be a good 'un) that's somehow getting an undeserved sequel, the Pelham 123 remake was rendered unwatchable by Travolta's hammy nonsense and 2 Guns was a classic case of spending all of the budget on the stars (Denzel, Mark Wahlberg, Paula Patton and Bill Paxton) and about nine dollars on the script.

Seymour Hoffman was bad in what was touted as his grand farewell, the Le Carre adaptation
