Names Most Likely to be Mis-spelled

Donald Pleasence, as most people would spell it Pleasance

Is Robert Carlyle too well known to have his name misspelt? Likewise Jason Flemyng.

Den Hegarty, singer with Darts, not to be confused with Dan Haggerty who played Grizzly Adams.

              DominiK Diamond.

This is actually quite a personal thing as hardly anyone got my first name right before a certain lead singer of a certain Mancunian Britpop band made it big.

Ian, William, Leon... I swear I even got one Christmas card when I was about six addressed to Lemon. I almost pine for those days since after 1994, I now hear my name far too fucking much.

Jesus. Never thought of L*** as a difficult name.

But if we're talking about Northern Uproar, as I assume we are, then Leon is right.

There are plenty of variants of the spelling of my first name, ane people generally plump for the S-H-A-U-N spelling, and very few people bother to ask.

My surname is Kelly, and it's bizarre how many people in the UK I had to spell it out to because they'd go for something totally different without asking. I mean, yes there are other spellings of it, but surely 'mine' is far and away the most common, and it's hardly an unusual surname.

Mam tells me I was the only baby born in the Maelor hospital given that first name in the whole of 1982, according to whoever handled the registrations for the birth certificates.

I think I'd struggle to pronounce that, to be honest...

'Stephen Hawkins (Hawking)' is one that tends to get on my proverbial.
