Walter Becker of Steely Dan has passed away.

I first came across them in 1987, through a couple of guys at work, and at the time I was heavily into Mod and Punk, and had no interest at all in anything from 1970 to 1977. (I was only 17/18 at the time, and slowly learned my lesson via Steely Dan, Neil Young & Joni Mitchell). I was given a cassette of the compilation of 'Reelin' In The Years', and was surprised by how brilliant it was.
So, thanks Walter Becker (and Donald Fagen) for helping me appreciate 70s music.
