    Season 2017-18: 100% Records (Winning & Losing)

With St Mirren smashing Dundee Utd's 100% winning start to the season, there is no longer any team in the Scottish Championship with a perfect start. In the Premiership, Aberdeen fly the flag with maximum points, whilst Partick Thistle are the mirror image with bugger all to show for their 4 games.

The only other survivors in Scotland are in in League 2, where Stirling Albion have 4 wins out of 4, whilst Edinburgh City have nothing.

England - Man Utd the only Premier League team with a perfect start, but Bournemouth, Palace & West Ham are flying the flag for the zero-pointers. Cardiff City are the only team left in the Championship with maximum points, and in League One it's Peterborough at the top but Oldham & Northampton still to register a point.

PSG & Monaco are both of maximum points after 4 games in Ligue1, with Metz on zero.

Serie A's just 2 games old but already the big guns of Juve, Inter, Milan & Napoli are off to a perfect start, but surprisingly joined by Sampdoria. Too early to name & shame the basement boys.

Bundesliga much the same, with Dortmund & Bayern already on 2 wins out of 2, but it's weird/horrible looking at that table and seeing Hamburg up there with them.

I could happily be on here all day going through the leagues, but I suppose I better get back to work. Feel free to fill in the blanks.....

Banbury United & Kettering Town have both won their first 5 matches in the Southern League Premier Division. Taunton Town have won all 4 in Division 1 West.

While up north, South Shields are 4/4 in the Northern Premier Div 1 North (if that is what it's called) with the trio of Radcliffe Borough, Ossett Albion and Goole AFC all yet to get off the mark. Cleethorpes Town and Basford United are 4/4 in the Southern section.

Galatasaray in the Süper Lig and Çaykur Rizespor in the 1. Lig are the only two sides in Turkey with 100% records. No side is without a point in either league.

Peterborough no more as they drew 0-0 on Saturday, but Oldham still retain their place on this thread with a fifth straight defeat. Northampton weren't playing so I'll still be keeping an eye out for them.

Not 100%, but the current division leaders in the Football League are Cardiff, Shrewsbury and Exeter. Add Huddersfield if they beat West Ham 7-0.

That's one hell of an accumulator, if anyone has a Delorean handy.

Silsden, who I saw yesterday, have won 7/7 in Division One of the North West Counties. St Helens (5 games) and FC Oswestry (7 games) in the same division are both pointless. In the Premier Division Squires Gate (5 games) are pointless.

South Shields lost their 100% record yesterday with defeat at Colwyn Bay, but Cleethorpes Town and Basford United are both still going at 6/6. Goole AFC are still pointless.

In the NCEL, Clipstone are still to get off the mark in the Premier Division, while Knaresborough Town are 9/9 (and curiously only have a goal difference of +15) in Division One.

Disappointing results in the Scottish leagues yesterday sees us say goodbye to Aberdeen who drew 0-0 at Hearts, and Partick Thistle who got their first point with a 1-1 draw at Ross County. In League Two, 100% leaders Stirling Albion lost 3-2 at home to Clyde, whilst Edinburgh City got their first points with a win over Berwick Rangers.

Man Utd's draw at Stoke sees them drop out, but Bournemouth lost again and remain pointless. In League One, Oldham got their first point as did Northampton, who won 1-0.

Conversely, Crystal Palace have just become the first club to lose their first four Premier League matches without scoring a goal.

Northampton actually did play, and beat Doncaster 1-0 to exit this thread. First game in charge for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, a piece of news which passed me by.

EDIT: Sorry, responded to a week old post. But the stuff about them losing their 100% record, and appointing JFH still holds.

This has already been mentioned on the Serie A thread, but after 5 rounds it's the two favourites who still lead the way with 100% winning starts - Juventus and Napoli. New boys Benevento still down the bottom with zero points. We say goodbye to Inter who drew 1-1 at Bologna.

Koln still pointless in the Bundesliga, but at least they have scored 1 more goal than Crystal Palace.

Couple of entrants to this thread that are local to me and in their own ways somewhat surprising.

Newport Pagnell Town have won their first seven league matches in the United Counties League Premier Division (Step 5) and Buckingham Town have won their first six matches in the United Counties League Division 1 (Step 6). The surprising aspect is that both clubs lost their top scorers over the summer -- Newport Pagnell's Dom Lawless moved to direct rivals Eynesbury Rovers, also challenging near the top of the UCL Prem table, while Buckingham's Leon Lobjoit, having scored an eye-popping 62 times last season, can now be found struggling to get on the subs' bench at Northampton Town.

Also at Step 5, Felixstowe & Walton United have 30 points from 10 Eastern Counties League Premier matches. After finishing second last season, it looks like they have their sights set on Ryman Bostik Isthmian League football.

Good to see Coggeshall Town giving them something to think about, despite having lost a couple of matches. (Lovely town, Coggeshall - that's pretty much my only reason for following them.)

Yes, though one of those defeats was to F&WU themselves - who have also put three past Histon.

There have been some incredibly poor sides in recent years so I think it will be a while before we can say whether Palace will turn out to be the worst top flight side even of the current decade, but it's a promising start towards that objective. I have a personal memory of Thomas Brolin rolling out for Palace in their very shit team of 1997-98, which meant Barnsley were never in danger of finishing bottom.

I can only judge on their game at t'Turf the other week, but Palace were far, far better than the Sunderland side who Burnley strolled to a 4-0 win over last season. Clarets aren't a great side by any stretch, and never had to leave second gear in that one.

In the Bostik league two teams in Division 1 North have a perfect record - AFC Hornchurch - who are 6/6 and Heybridge Swifts who are 5/5. Both clubs are still in the FA Cup too - though Heybridge have a replay against Met Police next week.

Highworth Town in the Hellenic League have won 9/9 so far this. It's a 38 game season so they've almost won a quarter of all games.
They're being chased by Flackwell who have a record of 8-1-1 and Bracknell with a 7-1-0 record.
Big season for Step 5 leagues as there are potentially two promotion spots up for grabs because of league restructuring.

In five minutes plus stoppage time Boca Juniors will make it 4/4 in Argentina (they're 3-0 up away to Vélez Sarsfield ... make that 4-0, they just scored as I was typing that out). River Plate play tomorrow and have won their first three (largely with second-string teams due to their Libertadores focus). At the bottom, Arsenal de Sarandí have lost all four games this term.

AFC Hornchurch keep their bandwagon rolling (7/7) by turning over winless Norwich United but Heybridge lost to AFC Sudbury - who picked up only their second win of the season.
