So six ties to be settled soon, though four of them look like they already are. I'm struggling to find tweets to reliable streams at the moment.

Apparently this link should work for the Barcelona second leg.

Barcelona, Chelsea, Linköping, Montpellier, Wolfsburg and Lyon are through then with Man City bound to join them later plus either Slavia Prague or Stjarnan.

                        UEFA reports:

                        Rosengård 0-1 Chelsea (agg: 0-4)
Leading 3-0 from the first leg, Chelsea's quarter-final debut was assured when Crystal Dunn set up Ji So-Yun for a 53rd-minute away goal. Rosengård, whose striker and all-time tournament top scorer Anja Mittag became only the third player to make 70 UEFA women's club competition appearances, will be back in Europe next season as Swedish runners-up.

                        Wolfsburg 3-3 Fiorentina (agg: 7-3)
Fiorentina's debut campaign was effectively over with their 4-0 home loss last Wednesday but they produced an impressive second leg against the two-time champions. Both teams had led before Wolfsburg's Sara Björk Gunnarsdóttir struck moments after her 70th-minute introduction but English teenager Ellie Brazil managed a late equaliser for Fiorentina.

                        Lyon 9-0 BIIK-Kazygurt (agg: 16-0)
The holders cruised through on a night when Camille Abily equalled former Arsenal goalkeeper Emma Byrne's record appearance tally of 77, the Lyon captain getting a hat-trick to become the first player to score 42 goals for a single club in this competition into the bargain. Ada Hegerberg, meanwhile, increased her season-leading total to 13 (one off the record) with four goals. BIIK will again compete in this competition next season having retained the Kazakhstan title.

                        Montpellier 6-0 Brescia (agg: 9-2)
France will again have two quarter-finalists as the side that qualified ahead of last season's runners-up Paris Saint-Germain ended a 12-year wait since their previous last-eight appearance. Anouk Dekker, Sofia Jakobsson, Katrine Veje, Sandie Toletti and substitutes Marie-Charlotte Léger and Virginia Torrecilla got the goals.

Barcelona 3-0 Gintra Universitetas (agg: 9-0)
First-half goals from Alexia Putellas and Toni Duggan helped confirm Barcelona's fourth quarter-final in five seasons. Gintra, like Rosengård and BIIK, have already secured their European place for 2018/19 after clinching the Lithuanian championship.

Linköping 3-0 Sparta Praha (agg: 4-1)
Only one first leg was drawn but Swedish champions Linköping made the most of home advantage to earn their third quarter-final. Lina Hurtig scored in the 18th minute and late on Kristine Minde and Nicoline Sørensen confirmed the victory.

                        Thursday's second legs

                        Manchester City v LSK Kvinner
City will defend a 5-0 lead. Regardless of the result, LSK will be back next season as Norwegian champions.

                        Slavia Praha v Stjarnan
Slavia will defend a 2-1 lead.

                        Here's Ellie Brazil's goal.

I discovered today that Scotland goalkeeper Gemma Fay plays for Icelandic side Stjarnan (who have now been eliminated). Bronze, Duggan and Brazil all currently play abroad for teams in this last 16 and I was trying to think of which UK male footballers are currently at Champions League teams, but could only think of Bale and the 17 year old at Dortmund.

I went to watch the Man City v Lillestrom game this evening. Not a particularly impressive display by City, although being 5-0 up from the first leg meant that they didnt have to be at their best. Lots of chances but let down by poor finishing, and then found themselves behind when Lillestrom scored on a rare foray upfield. City equalised right at the beginning of the second half and eventually got a winner. Eight minutes of stoppage time at the end due to an injury to Megan Campbell.

The draw was made today for the quarter and semi finals:

                              Montpellier v Chelsea
                              Wolfsburg v Slavia Praha
                              Man City v Linkopings
                              Lyon v Barcelona

Semis between the winners of the top two and bottom two.

Both English teams with a good chance of making the semi-finals I think. They will certainly be glad to have avoided Lyon, Barca and Wolfsburg.

Tonight's results. Didn't see any of either game but it's looking good for the WSL's big two.

                                  Man City 2-0 Linköping
                                  Montpellier 0-2 Chelsea

I went to the Man City game. They should have won more comfortably; Nikita Parris could have got at least a hat trick with some better finishing.

                                      And the other two:

                                      Wolfsburg 5-0 Slavia Praha
                                      Lyon 2-1 Barcelona

That's a decent result for Barcelona to take back with them against the double-defending champions. Goals below.

As I haven't left Facebook, I was able to see the second leg of the Chelsea game against Montpelier, which was a relatively comfortable 3-1 win.

No real surprises in the other second legs with Wolfsburg, Lyon and Man City going through.

Although Lyon only won 1-0 against Barcelona, the stats suggest it was pretty one sided (17 attempts to 2). Lyon to play Man City meaning at least one Englishwoman in the final, what with Lucy Bronze playing at Lyon.

And Bronze it is, with the England international scoring the only goal of the tie to send Lyon through. They will, once again, face Wolfsburg who had a relatively straightforward couple of matches against Chelsea. Final is on the 24th.

There isn’t much argument that these are the two best teams in The competition, as they each lead their respective leagues (the best in Europe) by several points despite having games in hand.

Yes, spot on ursus. Both the English sides went out in the same way as last season - Man City to Lyon by the odd goal on aggregate, and Chelsea to Wolfsburg by three goals on aggregate. However this time Chelsea had knocked three other sides out first rather than meeting Wolfsburg in the last 32. I'd like to see one or other of them against Barcelona next season - they seem to be the 3rd, 4th and 5th best sides between them, in some order. The drop-off in quality to the other quarter finalists seems quite steep.
