    5 points plus goal difference.

Give him the contract but fire him in the Summer would be the way big clubs do things these days. In Summer you can hire someone who looked like a genius in the World Cup.

City 2-0 up. First an Aguero penalty from a Silva dive, second is Otamendi from a corner. Set-piece specialists. It's like Tony Pulis never died.

Two in a minute to go 3-0 up. Sane on the breakaway. Clearly City were waiting to sit back and hoping to hit Burnley on the break. Tsk. Spoofers.

Lukaku lumps one in for the big lad at the back post Rashford 2-1

Too little, too late, going by Today FM.

Just seen a clip of the Silva dive. I'm not saying there wasn't contact, but I do think that it always looks more convincing when you clutch the same ankle the keeper is supposed to have fouled you on.

The Burnley goalkeeper stops the City striker in a 1 on 1.

                Or Pope denies Jesus.

                  Hurray!

Also hahahahahahahahaha, Fuck you mourinho. Lets see if he's as quick to accept the blame, as he is to accept the credit.

Although it is only October 21, City would have to fuck up pretty badly not to win this, such is their superiority.

Yeah you say that but the really good teams are unbeaten after 15 games.

Valencia v Sevilla has been excellent fun. 2-0 to V so far.

Southampton v oh, it's West Brom, is stodgy bollocks. With a splash of bad refereeeing thrown in. 0-0.

After 84 minutes, I still don't know if both keepers are called Fosrter or not.

                                  And 3-0 Valencia.

That Southampton goal was excellent, but notable for 2 fantastic dummies...

That's a bit of a demolition for Valencia. 4-0. I haven't seen much of Sevilla this season, so I dunno if this is a one-off. Valencia looking pretty and efficient.

Jose believes that the real man utd fans should be angry with the attitude of the players

He should be given a final warning for this. You can't throw your fucking players under the bus like this when you lose your first game of the season.

There's a Brian Glanville book from years ago, about an Anglo-Italian striker who gets signed by a club called... Alba*. And the trials and tribulations of life in Italian football.

A character in that is the team manager (obviously) who is called "Meester" or something, but behaves in EXACTLY the same way as Mourinho. If they do well, it's down to him. If they are shite, it's their own fault. And the press fucking swallow every word.

*The fictional team, not the book title.

Sevilla have been a train wreck all season and were destroyed by a Spartak 5-1 in midweek, but Valencia’s turnaround since last season’s debacle has been remarkable

Barcelona score in the second minute at home to Malaga, with the most blatant bit of shitty refereeing I've seen in a while.

hah, they're discussing jose's comments on BT sports, and owen hargreaves has said that basically the only way a team like man utd would lose to a team like huddersfield is if they don't concentrate enough and he referenced Alex ferguson, without ever once mentioning that Ferguson would punch a journalist who said anything negative, before returning to the dressing room to scream at them in private.

There is another way to lose that doesn't involve moral failings on the part of the players, and that is that the other team can be better organized in defence than you are in attack. Man utd's rather primitive attacking plan is fucking useless against a team with a lead that can sit back like that. I also didn't hear him mention that man utd under ferguson always had a very well developed system of play when they had the ball, which allowed them to score every kind of goal, which meant that they would usually find a way to force a goal if needed.

Why have none of them pointed out that Mourinho is throwing his players under the bus. There was a weird bit where he was talking about Ander Herrera, who jose is telling us is going around complaining about his teammates attitude. And that perhaps all of the players should come out and give a press conference about how they feel about the game. I'm beginning to see a light at the end of the Jose tunnel. He can't shit on his players in public like that.

If only you had a Sergio Ramos, TAB

We'll have to make do with a distinctly unimpressed ferguson and charlton.

The thing is that this lunacy is in response to losing their first competitive game of the season. I can't imagine that man utd are going to make it through the rest of the season unbeaten. Indeed they may not make it through the month unbeaten. The next two league games are spurs at home, and chelsea away.

No. League games only. Cup defeats in the first week of the season don't count. (For obvs reasons)
