That’s my moving gaff book stacking hell soundtrack sorted so. I probably should have started packing before the long weekend I have to be out.

I think I was just the right age for john peel's top of the pops humour back in the day. Even now, I look at the repeats fondly. However, I can see why others might not be fans, both back then and watching them now. For what it's worth, I remember an interview once with his wife after he'd died, saying that all the sneering was an act and that he was genuinely excited by the general 'popness' of totp, but he just didn't want to let on.
Regarding Tracey ullman's wealth, a large chunk of her estimated £80million wealth is down to her late husband, Alan mckeon.

Mention of Sport Billy brings me back. Somehow I always thought he was part of the 82 World Cup branding along with the fantastic Naranja mascot storybooks.Last edited by Lang Spoon; 18-06-2018, 23:37.

Lordy, I've just been skimming through the This Time LP. To summarize:
1. Glenn Hoddle's singing is one of the high points (although the bar is admittedly low)
2. You'll Never Walk Alone by Viv Anderson and Trevor Francis. WTF? What's Viv doing on this recording? Trev is speaking through his nose, as usual.
3. Talk about filler. This LP is about 90% filler.

The Clemence recording on the LP was presumably one take with no preparation at all? Like doing reading out loud at school.Last edited by Satchmo Distel; 04-07-2018, 13:06.

Just one more observation on the This Time LP.
Did the artists responsible for Can't Get A Ticket For The World Cup by Wesley Magoogan inadvertently stumble on Chicago House during the first few bars?

If you are asking me, Spoony, unfortunately, I only know that band's name.
My taste is narrowing as we speak. It's likely to end up with about 3 bars of the bad version of "Edelweiss", and then sweet morphia.
Those two sentences are probably unrelated.
