That’s my moving gaff book stacking hell soundtrack sorted so. I probably should have started packing before the long weekend I have to be out.

I fear an MS Project timeline of my life versus deadlines not reached. That has to be the next stage in office 365 heavy HR.

A surprisingly not bad chart, better than many from 1982-83.

It’s a good un. Even Taylor haters hopefully can get a good time out of this.

This is not in any way, relevant, but it needed an outlet.

No-one has obviously got far enough through this to notice, but round about 2mins 40, the backing singer suddenly turns into the monster in "Young Frankenstein" singing Putting On the Ritz.

As possibly the person being referred to as a "Taylor hater" I'd like to point out that I really am not. As I said a few pages back I do think he is the star of Chart Music in many ways. We just go back a bit, disagree fairly fundamentally on something that is extremely important to me, and it is entirely possible that this carries over into me hearing him as supercilious.

I think I was just the right age for john peel's top of the pops humour back in the day. Even now, I look at the repeats fondly. However, I can see why others might not be fans, both back then and watching them now. For what it's worth, I remember an interview once with his wife after he'd died, saying that all the sneering was an act and that he was genuinely excited by the general 'popness' of totp, but he just didn't want to let on.

Regarding Tracey ullman's wealth, a large chunk of her estimated £80million wealth is down to her late husband, Alan mckeon.

Mention of Sport Billy brings me back. Somehow I always thought he was part of the 82 World Cup branding along with the fantastic Naranja mascot storybooks.

That was an exceptionally weird last 8 or so minutes.

Like Chris Morris reading Peter Shilton's autobiography.

Lordy, I've just been skimming through the This Time LP. To summarize:

                                1. Glenn Hoddle's singing is one of the high points (although the bar is admittedly low)
                                2. You'll Never Walk Alone by Viv Anderson and Trevor Francis. WTF? What's Viv doing on this recording? Trev is speaking through his nose, as usual.
                                3. Talk about filler. This LP is about 90% filler.

Oh, and everything Chemin-de-fairy said about Ray Clemence.

How odd that in the long discussion on Jim Diamond, he's referred to in the present tense, and no mention is made that he has died. Did none of Al, Taylor and Simon know that?

I can't find any posts about Ray Clemence, from Chemin-de-fairy or anyone..?

He refers to the last eight minutes of the podcast, which features the oratory of Raymond Clemence.

Their research is sometimes a bit shoddy, a quick read of Wikipedia, but for this one, they didn't even do that, so maybe it was rushed to get it done before the World Cup?

The Clemence recording on the LP was presumably one take with no preparation at all? Like doing reading out loud at school.

Just one more observation on the This Time LP.

Did the artists responsible for Can't Get A Ticket For The World Cup by Wesley Magoogan inadvertently stumble on Chicago House during the first few bars?

Was that God Speed you Black emperor type gubbins doing the backing music or is that the actual track?

If you are asking me, Spoony, unfortunately, I only know that band's name.

My taste is narrowing as we speak. It's likely to end up with about 3 bars of the bad version of "Edelweiss", and then sweet morphia.

Those two sentences are probably unrelated.
