I went to the Memorial Service at St Paul's today, it was lovely.
Much emphasis on kindness and acceptance, and looking after each other, not very much God. Paddington was described as "a refugee", and there was a sideways swipe at "our current great leaders" from the Precentor (or the Dean, I'm not sure which), who judged Paddington's wisdom to be far superior.
Hugh Bonneville was amongst the readers, his voice louder than anyone else's. Other tributes were from Bond's family, especially the grandchildren.
