Potential 12th July date for any Linfield v Celtic fixture (as I now see has already been pointed out in the OP!)

I know almost nothing about Luxembourg football, do Niederkorn play in Luxembourg or are they in the Swiss league or something cunning like that?

I doubt the police will want Celtic fans to attend the home match if Linfield get through, but I imagine Linfield might fancy the big crowd away fans would generate. Teresa May and Arlene Foster can add that to their discussions.

Initial reaction from Belfast suggests the potential Linfield- Celtic ties will be switched.

You're getting your Luxembourgs and Liechtensteins confused there, AMMS.

European football, it's been a while. All I know is Rangers are against Progres, make your own jokes.

I've read up, apparently they've never won a match in Europe so they'll have high hopes if they watch some of our performances from last season. They come from a town with a population of less that 4,000. I expect about double that amount of Rangers fans will travel so it might be a good time to invest in shares in Luxembourg pub chains or military style clothing for police officers. There are some sides in the next round who I've heard off and will almost certainly be better than us or the Luxembourgers, so there's that to look forward too.

Rumors that Celtic will follow their political wing and confirm abstention from any potential all-British ties.

La Fiorita may never have a better chance to play in R3 of a European competition

The Luxembourg national side were the last to score more than two goals against NI in a competitive game (four years and 35 matches ago, believe it or not).

Give my regards to Cafe Barbarella round the corner from Lux City Station. Some of the Rangers fans among our lot were showing off their repertoire, but it was me thrown out for insisting on Le Moribond in very bad French.

Rangers' pre-game friendly will be just over the German border nearby.

                    Trier?

Aye, everyone will back the plucky Scottish underdog.

Two rounds in one. If we can beat the pride of Luxembourg we get to play St. Josephs or Limassol. I don't know if St. Josephs is a primary or a secondary school, if they're a primary I'd fancy our chances both home and away.

After that the 3rd round looks pretty difficult and if by some miracle we did get through that we then get to play the Champion's League losers before the group stages.

Celtic would be mad to take tickets for the Linfield game.

Based on the fact that Wrexham beat Lyngby 1-0 on agg 27 years ago I've just put £100 on Bangor to win 4-0 on agg.

I'm very confident. I don't bet very often so you should see my local turf accountant's face when I turn up. I can smell the fear. He knows I know what I know.

I hope your winnings pay for your trip to Bratislava, Kowalski.

Meanwhile, Bala Town have confirmed their tie with FC Vaduz will be held at Rhyl, whilst Connah's Quay Nomads will face HJK at Bangor the same night.

I'm planning to go to one or the other, and I'd be leaning towards Bala on the basis that it looks a more winnable tie and it's geographically closer for me, but last time I went to Rhyl for a Europa league qualifier I got shat on by a seagull. Decisions, decisions....

HJK in north Wales again, you say, a mere six years after their last visit.

I wish I could remember what happened, or what happened a week later, in more detail but all that comes to mind is the memory of spending ten hours in L'Aeroport Charles de Gaulle without change.

Imagine being stranded in an airport of world renown, a building that only exists to permit to travel to exotic places, without the possibility of leaving. That's the joy of travelling abroad on football related business that is.

Well knock me down with a feather, after "appropriate changes", Energy Drink Supplier gets its two teams into the Champions League.

Why seconded, the ground is a glorified hockey pitch miles from Oswestry with a few seats along one side, it's not worth bothering about although I'm biased having endured one of the most horrible 90 minutes of my football life there

Not a great draw for Aberdeen. We'll go to Kazakhstan (again!) or Bosnia. Could be a tough yin.

I know this is way off topic, but not all Astroturf surfaces are suitable for Hockey. The TNS pitch looks like it's a 3G. In which case that would be one of them. Football and Rugby only.

Alashkert are 1-0 up against Santa Colomaafter 75 minutes in Yerevan in a match that has lacked quality

Despite their 11 national titles, Santa Coloma have never won an away leg inEuropean competition
