It's a shame when somebody lets things go in this fashion rather than let you know they've had enough, but more than anything I just hope that everything is okay with him and we hear from him soon.
Hope he's OK too. After being hospitalised for months with TB I think things may have been tough I'll have to put Manic Street Teachers on the market soon.

Hot damn! That must be close to what any Iko Ka Kansai squad has ever been worth.

I was going to re-use last season’s X11 Ladies Cup intro. But in that I implied that it was a given that VSU would go the furthest of any OTF team. I was wrong there. So a more open competition this year, particularly with last season’s beaten finalists having finished one place behind Drakaina in the league...

Kanjeng Ratu Kidul WFC, freshly promoted back to Division 4, were in Stockholm for their opening game to take on AIK Ladies who operate two tiers below The Sea Spirits.
Despite the gap in status there was nothing to choose between the two sides in the first hour. Well, that was not surprising as there was barely even a shot attempted! SeanoftheShed’s side finally decided to let fly in the 78th minute, and that proved effective as Jennifer Willockx scored.
Five minutes later things got easier for Kanjeng as the hosts Eva Sivric picked up her second yellow card of the afternoon. The extra space was well exploited by the Sea Goddesses, Nurul Rahayuan heading in in the last minute to mark her senior debut with a goal.
That put Kanjeng in a strong position for the return at Merapi-Kraton-South Sea and that only got stronger after a brace of quick-fire goals from Diksha Dalmiya and Catur Navisyah just prior to the half-hour mark. Navisyah is a relatively experienced defender, the 23 year-old is just beginning her sixth season as a Sea Goddess during which time she has made over 70 appearances, but this was her first ever goal.
It was also the last of the tie, Kanjeng progressing to a Round 2 meeting with Harmonic Convergence of Division 6:13. The opening leg sees the Indonesians in woo-territory.

An all-Division 4 affair was LNWR Locomotive’s lot after they were drawn against Condense F.C. Girls.
The Steamers were the higher seeds so were on their travels for the opening leg, which could have started better as Condense went ahead in the 11th minute. Saidy Geovanni levelled for Viktor Boskovic’s side on 25 minutes (her first goal in LNWR colours, or indeed for anyone as she hadn’t registered for her previous two clubs either), the score remaining at 1-1 to the interval.
That was somewhat against the run of play in the opening half as Condense had more possession and chances, but that flipped over after the break as Locomotive got a head of steam up. The pressure eventually resulted in a winner on the night from Phrigit Heart, who shot home in the 70th minute.
That gave The Steamers some breathing space ahead of the second leg, as it meant that Condense needed to score twice to avoid elimination. That was still true after the opening goal, which once again came in the 11th minute, as this time it went Locomotive’s way, Tekla Severinsson finding the target. For each up comes a down, though, and fifteen minutes later Corália Vilhena was forced from the field with The Steamers second long-term injury in consecutive games following a nasty one for Heart in the league game between the two legs; Vilhena will be out for 20 days, which is even longer than her teammate.
That stalled Locomotive’s momentum, and it became a question of whether they could hang on in the face of an increasing Condense barrage. It was looking more and more likely as time ticked away, only for the visitors to finally break through on 88 minutes. However they needed another to force extra-time, and it didn’t arrive on time.
The Steamers scrap through, then. Their reward for doing so? Two matches against top flight opponents, overall no.3 seeds and last season’s beaten Semi-Finalists, Championettes. The team will still be down two key players for the opener at Mollington Street. *ulp*

Solent Sirens were also the higher seeds as they played opponents from the same tier (i.e. Division 6) when they took on Emerald City FC.
The route to the Emerald Stadium is an easy one (just follow the yellow signs) and the route to the hosts goal proved equally well laid out for Marlene Stieglecker, who opened the scoring on 22 minutes and added another midway through the second half. Jin-Ae Hyeong made it three late on to put Andrew7610’s side in comfortable charge of the tie.
The second leg quickly got away from Emerald City, Simone de Beauvoir netting a trademark free-kick just seconds into the match and Stieglecker following that up with another inside 6 minutes. When the same player made it three on 21, the visitors must have been wishing fervently that they were back home.
Their journey wasn’t quite complete though, Evelyn Högardh (59) and Ragnhild Utstumo (82) also having to score before the visitors had gained enough personal insight to make the trip back to Oz. Meanwhile, on a less metaphysical plane of reality, The Sirens go forward to play, um, The Saints of Division 3a. The first leg is at the Holy Dome. OK then, maybe just as metaphysical!

The Cup provided something like a pre-season jaunt for Erbil as they headed off to Tuscany to take on an F.C. Empoli side from two tiers below them in Division 6.
It looked like being a fairly laid back trip for Jdsx’s side when Tülin Besen netted in the 6th minute, only for referee Constance Paine to rule it out. That set the tone for a frustrating first half for Erbil, who someone found themselves sitting down after it still being held to a goalless draw. Sandra Brundin put that behind them three minutes into the second-half with a direct free-kick, but the failure to take more of their chances meant Erbil were vulnerable to an against-the-run-of-play equaliser, which is exactly what Empoli grabbed in the 73rd minute.
By that point there was no Brundin to dig Erbil out of a hole, as she had been helped off with an 8-day knock around 10 minutes earlier. However Besen was still out there, and she stepped up instead, heading her side back ahead on 77 minutes. And that was how it stayed to the end of the opening leg.
That was still a strong position for Erbil to be in, particularly as they dominated the return match. However the tie wasn’t dead until a wider gap had been opened, something like three goals as provided by Alanza Solaun’s 37th and Sharyn Bullock’s 42nd minute efforts. Solaun added another in the second period, more to relieve the boredom than anything else.
Next up for Erbil will be Cicada WFC. Despite Cicada being one level lower than Erbil (they play in Division 5:15), they are the higher seeds meaning the opening leg is at the Erbil Arena.

The Cup sent Csiki Girls even further afield for as they went over the equator to play JoBurg Belles of Division 6.
Conditions on the High Veld appeared to suit Ad hoc’s team as they raced into a four goal lead inside the opening half-hour. Julia Bröker got two of the strikes, the opener on 13 minutes and the fourth after 26. In between Robin Neaves had added a second with 16 on the clock and Floriane Smet was also on target after 21 minutes.
The Csiki’s eased off after this, and just one more goal was added after the break. But it was a notable one from a personal perspective, as newly promoted 20/6 forward Norma Ackland marked her debut in adult Football in style.
The second leg was simply a question of how many. The answer was just two as Csiki Girls barely got out of second gear, particularly in an opening half when they didn’t manage a single shot. Both goals came relatively late, Saoirse McInns striking on 72 minutes with a direct free-kick and Georgia Birch netting on 83 after a breakaway.
Round 2 pits The Csiki’s against Watergate Bay Surfers of Division 5:16, i.e. the same level as the Székelys. The first leg will be in Cornwall.

Things are better on the sexist club names and branding front in the official Ladies Leagues these days, but they aren’t perfect as Sockford Emollient found out when they played a team who I can’t even be bothered to censor so I’m simply calling OFFS. Both sides operate in the bottom Division at the moment, for what it’s worth.
The first leg saw The Gatorsharks on the road. It proved to be a close match. In fact, a boring one. There was just one chance in the entire 90 minutes. That fell to Foxy265’s side, but it went unconverted meaning the tie heads to Framleyshire level pegging, though with an away goals worry for Sockford.
The second leg was a difficult balancing act for Emollient, as they needed a goal to win it, but knew that a 1-1 draw meant elimination so couldn’t over commit in search of this. In fact, they judged it nearly perfectly, probing cautiously until Toni Duggan netted on 62 minutes, and then backing off and asking their opposition ‘what have you got?’ the answer to that being ‘nothing’.
Next up for The Gatorsharks is [slumps a little bit] Blonds FC of Division 2a. The first leg will be in Framleyshire.

An all-Mediterranean affair paired the Greeks of Drakaina with the Palestinians of, um, Palestina F.C., who are in Division 6 to The Dragons Division 3.
The first leg was at the Faixa De Gaza Stadium, where an enthusiastic crowd turned up to cheer their heroines on. They needed the support, as Drakaina took a quick stranglehold on possession and chances, moving ahead when Laria Sietaridis raced clear in the 21st minute. That was far from the last chance of the day for Etienne’s girls, but it would prove the last goal as the hosts goalie, Miranda Breen, put in a stunning performance to see off 9 of the 10 attempts directed her way.
Breen was at it again in the return, though not to quite the same extraordinary level as shots from Sandra Byzhyti on 4 minutes and Florica Vulturescu on 59 beat here. As did Elena Gitsis’ late effort, but that was ruled out by referee Constance Paine. Byzhyti’s strike was the first of the defender’s career.
She will look to add to that in Round 2 when The Dragons take on another side from three tiers below them, Catalonia Nuns of Division 6:34.

Menywod Maeshafn’s Cup exploits this year began with a trip to France to take on Paris Vikings of the seventh tier (Maeshafn are in the sixth).
The match was a return home for Maeshafn ‘keeper Laure Bertheau, who I continue to believe is the main detective from Engrenages operating under the flimsiest of pseudonyms. Not that this match was a great one for goalies, as both were unemployed for the vast majority of it, only for each to be caught out on the first occasion they were called into action. Bertheau was beaten first (it’s enough to drive one to the bottle) in the 49th minute, only for her compatriot at the other end to suffer the same fate five minutes later when Lisha Boye equalised.
1-1 was how it finished, with the away goal a potential boon for IsThatcherDeadYet’s side. The insurance it provided didn’t last long in the return leg, however, Paris opening the scoring on 10 minutes. Katherine Barker headed Maeshafn level on the half-hour, but now the match was poised on a knife-edge for the Welsh side. They couldn’t afford to concede again, but that was exactly what they did after 54 minutes.
That left the hosts in a real hole. They might have climbed out of it if Simone Kjellberg’s effort just four minutes later hadn’t been disallowed. But it was, and though Monalisa Corleone levelled on aggregate on 81 minutes, Maeshafn ran out of time in search of a winner and went out on away goals.

So far all the ties have had the OTF side as the higher seeds and therefore away from home in the opening leg. The first going the other way paired Riverbankers WFC against Real Wisconsin Girls. Which was an intimidating draw as Wisconsin play two levels higher than The Bankies.
Matters were hardly helped in the opening leg by the enforced absence of manager SouthdownRebel. However even without his guiding hand, his players put in a solid shift. Yes, they lost 2-0, but that was a decent return in the circumstances.
The boss was still absent for the return, which didn’t help matters much. Nor did losing ‘keeper Anastasia Myznikova to an 8-day injury towards the end of the first half, not with no subs named. Not that Riverbankers have another ‘keeper in their squad to have on the bench anyway. Again, given the circumstances, 4-0 on the night to add up to 6-0 overall was a moral victory for the hosts.

The greatest Divisional mismatch of the opening round (as far as OTF sides are concerned) was the pairing of second-tier Viking South Utsira with Söders IF, who operate at the entry level.
The pre-match predications were all for a thumping Blood Eagles victory. It might have turned out that way if Asta Austrheim had converted a 7th minute penalty, but she didn’t, and it didn’t as the scoreline remained blank at half-time.
Velvet Android’s side turned up the wick in the second period, and were finally rewarded in the 50th minute when Nina Austrheim bailed her older cousin out with a long range strike. That was teed up by Bergljot Kvalvik, who later received her own perfectly weighted pass to fire an 87th minute second, and keep the scoreline just about respectably for both sides.
Would that be the case for the return at Ragnar Rock? And what was respectable for Söders in this anyway? Whatever the answer to that, goals came for The Blood Eagles at regular intervals. Kristin Hovland got the first on 19 minutes, and also the third after 45. In between Emilie Klovning (25) had registered. There were two more to be had after the break, both from Birgit Austrheim albeit very different in construction. The first, on 71 minutes, was a close range header, the second, on 78, was fired in from 40 yards!
On to Round 2 then, and a tie against a rival from Division 1a, Gajas Peladas. Not exactly a good draw for either side, really. Just how tight it’s likely to be is indicated by the seedings, 256 for Gajas and 257 for Viking! That does mean Ragnar Rock hosts the first leg, though.

Punching up was the challenge for Ullapool Northern Star when they took on Division 5’s Meninas do Prior.
The visitors had made Round 5 last year, and it was they who struck first with a 25th minute direct free-kick. Northern Star struggled to create chances in response, with manager delicatemoth cutting a worried figure on the touchline as her side found themselves on the back foot. The mood at Minchview would turn around in the 73rd minute though, Astrid Sehlstedt crossing for Sonia Menashi to nod home an equaliser that sends the tie into the return leg well balanced.
The second leg opened on a downer for Ullapool as talented young forward Mary-Leslie Mair went down with an 11-day injury just seconds into the match. She was replaced by Astrid Sehlstedt, but it was Sehlstedt’s strike partner Sonia Menashi who was to the fore in the opening half. Menashi fired her side ahead from range on 22 minutes, wiping out the away goal conceded and then, following a Prior equaliser, struck again in the 39th minute.
That had the Scots ahead 3-2 on aggregate, but also with away goals on their side; Meninas do Prior needed two to avoid elimination. They got one just before the hour mark, and then laid siege to the Northern Star net. Hope was beginning to become expectation amongst the travelling fans as time ebbed away, until their bubble was sadly burst with a killer third for the hosts on 88 minutes.

An away first leg awaited Coxy Ladies Wulpen as they made their way down to the beach to take on Wave Rider FC of Division 6.
The first action of the match was a wipeout which resulted in Waders defender Claire Michel needing a 9-day spell shorebound. It also earned the Wave Rider responsible a yellow card. Wulpen had also survived an early swell before Jessica Kabasele caught a crest and powered away from the group to net the 21st minute opener.
Wulpen looked like they had put down a strong run when Zara Carey netted in the 27th minute, only for the judges to declare it a foul for obscure reasons. The same happened to Wave Rider soon after the interval, and that was followed five minutes later by Charlotte Beyen shooting away up on the shoulder and making it two. The hosts pulled one back as the end of the day neared, but with a late Surf Up there was one last gnarly wave to catch in the twilight and it was Coxy Ladies who did so, Laetitia Roosens registering a third on 89 minutes.
Things were much more staid in the return on the Flanders polder. Well, the geography will do that to a person. The Waders controlled the game as their visitors wore a rather stifled look, front pair Laetitia Vandenbergh and Charlotte Beyen netting once each on 52 and 83 minutes to confirm Janik’s side’s progress to a Round 2 encounter with Gregorys Girls of Division 4j. The first leg is in Lanarkshire.

Another of the higher seeds from a lower Division ties sent Dublin City WFC to Wenches of Doom for their opening leg (Divisions 6 and 5, for the record).
Dublin’s cause was not helped by a 9th minute own goal from Majken Gnestad, nor by the apparent absence of boss Mortal Joe for the game. The sending off of Wench Sandrine Grun for a second bookable offence in the 83rd minute was helpful though, and seeing as Dublin had already been mostly competitive against 11, that Brígida Padilha equalised in stoppage time was no great surprise. The goal was defender Padilha’s first for Dublin, and in her career as she came through the youth system at Phoenix Park. It only took her close to 100 games to get it...
The boss was still absent for the return, leaving his players to try and work out whether they were going to defend their away goals advantage or attempt to push for a cushion for themselves. The collective went for caution and this proved a wise choice as the hoped for 0-0 draw was secured. That sent Dublin through to a Round 2 clash with The Black Widows of Division 3f. The first leg will be at Phoenix Park, and the good news is the manager’s Mercedes has reappeared in its usual parking space. His help will be needed for this one!

Wiblflibl’s Witches of Chiswick didn’t have an easy draw against the more-intimidating-than-their-name-sounds SLB Powerpuff Girls, who play in Division 4.
The opening leg was at Field Lane, and the visitors quickly proved how seriously they should be taken, going ahead on 26 minutes. The Bewitched tried to stand up to the onslaught, and did manage a breakaway in the 56th minute that resulted in an equaliser for Lyanna Mormont. But that was a false dawn, as the Powerpuff Girls, wide-eyed in indignation, raised their game again to retake the advantage late on.
Chiswick had a late opportunity to level again when injury reduced the visitors by a sister, but that would have been a bit of a travesty. And it didn’t happen.
The task facing The Bewitched in the second leg would have been beyond even Mojo Jojo. Well, actually, pretty well anything was beyond Mojo Jojo, seeing as the stormtrooper effect means any Supervillian is just spectacularly useless. It was also beyond Witches as well however, Powerpuff Girls netting a triumvirate of strikes, appropriately enough.

Also taking on Division 4 opposition from their launching pad of the bottom tier were Zeugma Dostluk Spor, who faced FC Cascavéis.
The visitors opened the scoring on 21 minutes, but then were mostly forced back by a good display from Antepli Ejderha’s side. That Zeugma were forcing their opponents back was particularly useful following a 50th minute injury suffered by first-choice goalie Aisa Rijssel which left inexperienced back-up Candan Yener between the sticks. However, rather than getting worse, the Anatolians were level within nine minutes of the game recommencing after Rijssel’s 7-day injury (and five after a similar knock for a Cascavéis player), Nuray Karakan turning home her first senior goal from Peg Haywood’s free-kick.
Zeugma had other second-half chances, but that proved to be the end of the scoring ahead of the return leg. That meant AE’s side needed a goal on the road to keep their hopes alive. Yue Zhen Kau thought she had it when she turned home on 39 minutes, but Frank Redkard disagreed. And that was that, Zeugma didn’t have another chance in the 90 minutes as they were edged out on away goals. Frustrating to come so close to an upset without actually achieving it.

Division 1 in the OTF is pleasingly close. Three points and one goal separating the top-seven.

Have resigned from Lessbury Moreborough in the J4GL. Feel sorry for RichardSP as he does an excellent job in running the league, but got a promotion at work and expectations on time have increased. I don't have a tablet (yet) and my work laptop is barred from X11 so I use my mobile to set tactics, read messages etc. and it's getting harder to use this medium. What I have found in recent weeks is that the screens jump all over the place, I assume thanks to the adverts though they never used to it, and sometimes it makes setting teams impossible (not withstanding an anguished shout of "Gahhhhh" followed by the noise of a mobile splintering against the nearest wall, something I've desisted so far, but it can only be a matter of time).

Yes, congrats on the promotion, good luck with it. When I was previously having issues with intrusive ads on X11 I downloaded the Opera mini browser which cuts all that shit out. It might make you life easier and less aggravating.

Just applied to take over Lessbury Moreborough... Decided I wasn't wasting enough time on X11. Wife might not agree...
Congrats on the promotion Foxy. Or maybe that should be commiserations on the relegation...

Best wishes with them jdsx. The players (esp the younger ones) will have decent dv's as they are being trained as soon as a red arrow appears. Hopefully there's a decent enough econ pot for you to mount a promotion push next season.

Cheers Foxy. No double jumps I don't think but some good prospects for the future... Yeah it was nice to see some econs in the kitty! I run most of my teams on a shoestring so that will make a nice change.
I have applied for a new team name, hope you don't mind...should fit in with the home ground....

I may need to become a bit more conservative with the win bonuses I put on the table at Märkische Mädels. Last season I could safely boost their performance by offering a million in each game, since the average age would ensure we'd get tonked anyway. Opening game of this season in Division one though: no such luck...

The Viking South Utsira making their way to the Stadium of the Seven Seas to watch their side take on Cutty Sark Crew would have been hoping for more exciting fare than they witnessed in an opening day stalemate.
The Viking side were also in more expansive mood, and delivered a 17th minute opener for The Blood Eagles followers when Emilie Klovning rose to head home. Was that a sign of things to come? Err, not really, it would actually turn out to be the only goal of the afternoon though there were a few more chances.
Still, it did make it four points out of six for Velvet Android’s girls, which left them in second place in the early Division 1a standings.

Two sides with an opening day clashed at Delphi when Drakaina took on Pitas FC.
The Dragons first attack of the match was rewarded when Susanna Barry centred for Laria Sietaridis to head home. Etienne’s side held that advantage up to half-time, partly through a disallowed Pitas goal. Maybe this was an unfair call, as referee Robert Nixon appeared to offer a make-up one midway through the second period when he pointed to the Drakaina penalty spot. It was, frankly, the only way the visitors were going to score.
The question for the Greeks was could they respond? Their chances were improved when Emerita Tomasi received her second yellow card of the day in the 86th minute, but the period playing against 10 proved too short for The Dragons to achieved anything much.
This draw meant that two of the four sides who won on the first day in Division 3d were no longer 100%, and another elsewhere did for the other two day 1 victors. Meaning that Drakaina remain joint top on points, technically third on goal difference.

Erbil’s search for an opening win of the season pitted them against (ugh) The Housewives, whose name is enough to make me despondent if not actually censor it.
Caroline Hinton fired Jdsx’s side into a 2nd minute lead when she let fly from 30 yards, but the visitors levelled after 17. Following that Erbil mostly found themselves on the back foot, and looked in real trouble of a second straight defeat when they fell behind on 69 minutes.
However that counted without Sandra Brundin, who popped up at exactly the right time to net an equaliser on 77 minutes. That proved to be the last goal of the game, as this time Erbil shared the spoils after four goals rather than losing narrowly after five.
Elsewhere in the same section, LNWR Locomotive were playing Q.P.R Ladies, whose team name is dull but not offensive which is worth something, I guess.
The hosts took the lead with a free-kick in the 12th minute. Goals proved hard to come by for both sides after that, though not for want of trying as each created a good number of openings. However it was beginning to look like another defeat for Viktor Boskivic’s side until referee Al Beback handed The Steamers an 89th minute lifeline with a penalty kick. Ragna Hofvander volunteered herself for the responsibility and delivered icily to claim a point from the game.
Both OTF sides in Division 4i are therefore on one point after two games. In that they are alongside two others, all of whom have -1 goal differences! The positions are therefore down to goals scored, with prolific Erbil in fifth and more cautious Locomotive bottom.

Kanjeng Ratu Kidul WFC first match had seen them held to a draw in a game they dominated, but just couldn’t score in. SeanoftheShed and co were hoping for better luck when they took on The Temptation Within in week 2.
The match started well for The Sea Goddesses, with a good opening period that was decorated this time with a goal, Cindy Prins heading home after 12 minutes. That was nice, but a second would be better, even with Temptation not threatening Kacey Rust’s net. However it didn’t arrive, and then, on 90 minutes, the total sucker punch as the visitors scored with their one and only shot of the game.
That means that 9-2 on chances has somehow returned only two points for Kanjeng to date. It leaves the Indonesian side fifth in the Division 4k table.

Matchday 2 pitted Coxy Ladies Wulpen against a sexist idiot with the sort of clearly offensive team name that I thought had been cleared up ages ago. Let’s call them An Utter Moron’s Team. And that is being polite about the fuckwit.
Fortunately the visitors wouldn’t manage a shot all day. The Waders accumulated only four themselves, but Zara Carey and Laetitia Vandenbergh converted two of those, on 41 and 82 minutes respectively.
That was enough for a second successive 2-0 victory that puts Coxy Ladies top of the early running in Division 5:17.

Sockford Emollient and CF Fuego Eagles both won their opening Division 5:19 games 3-0, which set up their Round 2 meeting very nicely.
The match would prove to be extremely open, and it was The Gatorsharks who were first to strike, Alexia Batistuta firing in from range in the 27th minute. Batistuta’s strike was somewhat against the run of play at the time, however, and became very so as the first half progressed and the Eagles took nearly full control of play. They also overturned the scoreboard with strikes on 32 and 42 minutes.
A third for the visitors on 49 left Sockford with a mountain to climb, and though Batistuta got her second of the day on 69 minutes to give Foxy265’s charges hope, defeat was pretty well confirmed when Maci Conrad turned into her own net with 77 on the clock.
Defeat saw Emollient slip down to fourth in the table. Fuego, btw, are managed by TheArcticBadger52, who is an OTF associate if not a member seeing as he also has sides in the Major League X11, Human and Heineken Leagues.

Matchday 2 saw Menywod Maeshafn enjoying home comforts as they welcomed the capering Harley Quinns.
Or sometimes capering, as this match was more Tears of a Clown as Maeshafn completely dominated (helped somewhat by the absence of the Quinns manager, but details, dear boy). IsThatcherDeadYet’s charges had 10 shots in the first half alone and managed a decent enough conversion ratio as Justine Bellamont (19 and 37 minutes) and Ada Westerberg (31) got their names on the scoresheet.
The second period was goalless as the Welsh side eased off the gas, which did ultimately cost them top spot in the Division 5:28 standings as their trail leaders Pakistan FC on only goals scored. Not that that is significant this early in the season, mind.

The visitors for Csiki Girls first home league game of the campaign were the oddly-named Otterup 19 Femina FC, which doesn’t exactly roll of the tounge.
The match would not prove to be a classic. The A kertem fans were already mostly only half-concentrating on the lack of action when they were briefly shocked on 9 minutes by the visitors putting the ball in the Csiki’s net, only for it to be disallowed. The only further distractions were two second-half shots for ad hoc’s side, but neither were converted.
Two draws from two leaves Csiki Girls fifth in the early Division 5:29 standings.

Ullapool Northern Star were looking to back-up a fine opening win when they travelled to Instinción CFF.
Delicatemoth’s side made a fast start in pursuit of that, Ninorta Kha firing in a direct free-kick in just the second minute. The basis set, Northern Star pushed on for a second, but despite multiple chances it just wouldn’t sit right. The closest they came was in the 64th minute when Inja Kosmalova had the ball in the net, only for Will Taykabribe too rule it out. *Booooo*
That decision actually cost Ullapool top spot in Division 6:40 as they dropped to second by -1 goal difference. The Scots are one of only two sides in this section with maximum points from their opening two games.

The charms of Solent Sirens were up against a team seething with rage when they travelled to Furious Ladies.
Not that there was an awful lot for either team to get too upset about in a pretty even first half. Solent were having more of the ball, but it was their uncongenial hosts who had the only chance of the half.
The second period was tipped more against Andrew7610’s side, who, along with having to see off more shots also succeeded in tripping the hair-trigger when Evelyn Högardh committed two bookable offences inside 20 minutes. The hosts might have turned puce about this, but they were denied an outlet as The Sirens held out for a draw and moved on to somewhere less aggressive.
They will do so placed in third in the Division 6:43 standings, two points adrift of the early leaders.

Riverbankers WFC trip to Marselle would have been tough enough with manager SouthdownRebel present. With him unable to make his way to the Stade Velodrome, it was effectively a foregone conclusion.
And that was before one considers that goalkeeper Anastasia Myznikova was missing with injury. The decision to field 23/2 defender Miriam Harte in her place was a huge white flag. Harte was beaten three times in the first half and once after the break, which actually isn’t too bad in the circumstances!
Elsewhere in the same section, Witches of Chiswick were hoping for more than that when they hosted Twin Peaks Owls.
Both sides had won their opening games whilst keeping a clean sheet, so something had to give. Sadly, it was The Bewitched’s record, Twin Peaks netting both first half opportunities they created.
The chances of Wiblflibl’s side getting back into the game were diminished by a 10-day injury to midfielder Tori Oishi on the hour mark. They did get a slight boost when a third Owls ‘goal’ was struck off, but overall the comeback was never on.
It leaves Chiswick fifth in the Division 6:44 table, whilst The Bankies have settled into their familiar eighth spot.

An opening defeat was not what Zeugma Dostluk Spor’s doctor order as the medicine for relegation, the search for a better treatment taking the Anatolians to Aperta com Elas FC.
21 minutes in, and a more effective course was discovered when Yue Zhen Kau fired Antepli Ejderha’s side into the lead. Zeugma would then strangle the life out of the game (not very health conscious, that!) by dominating possession but not particularly bothering shooting. It finished 1-0, after 2-0 in chances.
However bored the fans at the game might have been, those following the side online were pleased to see them climb to fifth in Division 6:53.

And finally Dublin City WFC. Mortal Joe’s girls were also looking to bounce back and record their first win. In their case they were attempting to do so at Inter Petrila.
This was another match without much to engage the spectator. There were some chances, but not many, and that was particularly so for the travelling fans who only saw their team let fly once all match. They did, however, witness a solid defensive performance that earned Dublin a scoreless draw.
That was a first point of the campaign, one that leaves The Dubs sixth in the early Division 6:57 table.

Has anyone heard from SdR lately? I've noticed that after having put in a sterling effort to get MLX up and running again, he's not logged in to X11 for the last week and has missed the league's kick-off after all that. Hope all is OK in real life.
