They won't be the (very) oldest but there might be the most of them: Parliament and Funkadelic have at least 20 living former members (and some more who don't have Wikipedia pages so I can't check them easily).

The Stones can obviously boast three original members aged 73-75: clearly, this is fewer than The Beach Boys upthread, but they are set to play next month, rather than five years ago.
An example of which some won't be aware is Golden Earring: they can still boast four of their original/early members, who - should they make it to the end of 2018 - will all then be over seventy years old.
NB The Guinness World Record is for a Japanese band that boasts three members over 85 - however, they were only formed in 2008, which makes the whole thing look a little deliberately contrived to this cynic...

I'm seeing George Clinton/Parliament (and/or Funkadelic) at the Funk and Soul Weekender in Camber next week. Can't wait.

I believe the band's name for the current tour is 'George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic'.
He's the second oldest of the surviving members, incidentally - he'll be 76 in July. (Fuzzy Haskins is a month and a bit older.)
I am very envious. I came across either a bootleg or a video of one of their sets a couple of years ago (a set which at the time was very recent - from a festival or gig in Clinton's hometown, or something) and they still sounded astonishing. Considering the amount of stuff he took during the '70s it's a minor miracle he's still alive.
They're in Bristol next week, too. I really am heading for my visit home two months too late.

It does look good doesn't it? I was a regular at the Bowlie Weekender/ATP when held at Camber - as well as coming 3rd in the one-length breaststroke when a nipper on a Pontins holiday - so am looking forward to going back. Not having been to a funk/soul thing before, I'm busy looking for dancing shoes...

The Temptations have replaced various members down the years but most of them have died. Just one original remains. Four Tops ditto. I'm not sure about female Motown acts; The Supremes obviously have one deceased member and at least three survivors who did long stints. Chicago might be up to double figures with the horn section and factionalism.

Shoes are important but get a decent supply of white socks and an Escort XR3i Turbo sorted as top priority.
Exactly - it's one reason why I always (wrongly, I now think) hated soul music, cos it was liked by twats like that. I was much happier with my Led Zep badges on my denim jacket, with the classic 'Genesis' logo in gold paint on the back...
I didn't get any girlfriends looking like that, and the girl I most fancied went out with a soul boy, which added to my disdain.

Marshall Allen, current leader and ever present in the Sun Ra Arkestra, is 92 and plays a residency most years in London. This year it's 3 nights at the jazz cafe.
