Actually surprised there's only 16 players on that list, given the CL group stage has been going for 25 seasons now.

Plus a number of years with group matches in Europa Leadue / UEFA Cup. What also strikes me is the diversity of those 16:

          - Sweden 2
          - Portugal 2
          - Netherlands 2
          - Italy 2
          - France 2
          - Argentina 2 (including the United Nations of di Stefano)
          - Spain 1
          - Germany 1
          - Ivory Coast 1
          - Ukraine 1

No English or Brazilian and only 1 from Spain and Germany (who retired 40 years ago)

Do you have number of matches played to calculate strike rates? Given the number of games played these days the most impressive ones would appear to be Muller, Eusebio and di Stefano

Lio Messi to hit four in the return leg vs PSG, thereby both turning the tie around and reaching the ton ahead of CR7...

Edit: ...while also busting 500 club career goals.

Cristiano ronaldo only scored his first champions league goal against Roma in the 7-1 game. he was 22 and had played nearly 25 games. It's basically a goal a game for the last ten years after that. The divide between the two periods is pretty enormous.
