How does he even manage to put his trousers on in the morning?
the GDP of the EU is in the region of €20 Tn. There's going to be about 400 million people in the EU after the UK eaves. the UK's €10 bn annual net contribution is going to be annoying to find, but it will be found. it's about €25 per head.

This seems to be the main fisheries bit:

As regards the fixing of fishing opportunities within the meaning of Article 43(3) TFEU for
any period falling within the transition period, the United Kingdom shall be consulted in respect of
the fishing opportunities related to the United Kingdom, including in the context of the preparation
of relevant international consultations and negotiations.
            2. For the purposes of paragraph 1, the Union shall offer the opportunity to the United Kingdom
to provide comments on the Annual Communication from the European Commission on fishing
opportunities, the scientific advice from the relevant scientific bodies and the proposals from the
European Commission for fishing opportunities for any period falling within the transition period.
            3. Notwithstanding point (b) of Article 129(2), with a view to allowing the United Kingdom to
prepare its future membership in relevant international fora, the Union may exceptionally invite the
United Kingdom to attend, as part of the Union's delegation, international consultations and
negotiations referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article, to the extent allowed for Member States and
            permitted by the specific forum.
            4. Without prejudice to Article 127(1), the relative stability keys for the allocation of fishing
opportunities referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article shall be maintained.

Hahaha I’m almost gonna enjoy the Fish Folk getting shafted. Let alone catch limits being A Good Thing, in theory at least if not always in practice, and that it was U.K. fish folk who sold their licenses to dastard foreigners, the whitefish industry in Scotland (the bulk of the U.K. fishing sector) is run by a cabal of Five Families who were big donors to the Leave campaign. And who commit crimes of near slavery and manslaughter through awful conditions against crews often from Pure Local places like Ghana and Egypt (the Guardian investigation was spiked by the lawyers re Scotland, but published similar revelations about Cork bastard fleet owners). Of course fishing would be the industry to be thrown under a bus by the Govt, just like it was in 1973. Cos nae cunt fishes.

The far smaller and less powerful prawn and shellfish boats were always piss worried about Brexit (their main market is Spain and France). But they haven’t had the media attention (only time I’ve seen Fife shellfish folk interviewed was on Basque tv).

Financial services in the political declaration:
Commitments to preserving financial stability, market integrity, investor protection and fair
competition, while respecting the Parties’ regulatory and decision-making autonomy, and their
ability to take equivalence decisions in their own interest. This is without prejudice to the Parties'
ability to adopt or maintain any measure where necessary for prudential reasons.
                    ● Commencement of equivalence assessments by both Parties as soon as possible after the United
Kingdom’s withdrawal from the Union, endeavouring to conclude these assessments before the
                    end of June 2020.
                    ● Close and structured cooperation on regulatory and supervisory matters, grounded in the
economic partnership and based on the principles of regulatory autonomy, transparency and
stability, recognising this is in the Parties’ mutual interest.
                    Spectacularly weaksauce.

No evidence that the left is. Corbyn promised repeatedly to

If Labour had been making (or even starts now) the case for EEA then maybe we can avoid total fucking economic stagnation recession and mass shitness. We are still gonna be rule takers. Why not just be rule takers with full EEA or equivalent membership?

If you’re gonna to have (and it’s doubtful) a Brexit election, people might want to know in advance Labours position beyond the fuckin 6 tests. An opposition often sets out its policy stance in advance of being able to actually influence events.

Pretty much ruled out SM and FoM in future but. According to Stephen Bush, McDonnell won against Abbott post vote in arguing Labour had to abandon Free Movement to Hold The North. And of course the great nonsense of State Aid. No fuckin politician in the Big Two UK parties seems to understand the EU or how to play the game at all.

I'm with Spoony here. People (in both Labour and Tory parties) unilaterally deciding that the referendum somehow included an explicit red-line on ending FoM has completely fucked us. Now nobody can come out and defend FoM and therefore EEA membership. Even though throughout the referendum campaign people kept referring to the economic success of Norway and Switzerland.

Labour could at least now start making the case, rather than leading with their ridiculous Test 3 that implicitly stops any sensible Brexit.

The wording is loose though. It could be finessed. It's just that it sends entirely the wrong message.
