What's he got on the SNP? I assumed he was one of those who wasn't expected to win when he got elected.

I hope they're working as hard to get the excellent Angus Robertson back in an elected position.

He does well in his (fairly Catholic by background if not churchgoing) constituency. He’s pretty much the same as the Old Labour “social conservatives” that used to weigh their votes in the central belt, just he’s a separatist on top of being an anti gay/pro life bigot.

I’d say a Robertson comeback would depend on the People of the Fish not being insane. Though if that creepy cunt McDonald did the decent thing and resigned his Holyrood seat, the Nats would probably win the by election, and Aberdeenshire is close enough to Moray to not look a total parachute. But the ex Nat Minister is hanging on for 60 grand a year even after being expelled by the nats. Brazen Weinstein cunt.

Interesting to look up the MPs who voted against equalizing the age of consent in 1994. In fairness, Scottish Central belters aren't over-represented. Apparently the Labour MP for Western Isles had some "constituency pressure" on this issue.

Donald Anderson (Swansea E), Joe Ashton (Bassetlaw), Stuart Bell (Middlesbrough), Joe Benton (Bootle), Gerald Bermingham (St Helens S), David Blunkett (Sheffield Brightside), Jim Callaghan (Heywood and Middleton), Dale Campbell-Savours (Workington), Jamie Cann (Ipswich), Eric Clarke (Midlothian), Bob Cryer (Bradford S), Lawrence Cunliffe (Leigh), Denzil Davies (Llanelli), Don Dixon (Jarrow), James Dunnachie (Glasgow Pollock), Ken Eastham (Manchester Blackley), John Evans (St Helens N), Derek Foster (Bishop Auckland), Llin Golding (Newcastle-under-Lyme), Wyn Griffiths (Bridgend), Peter Hardy (Wentworth), Roy Hughes (Newport E), Barry Jones (Alyn and Deeside), Calum MacDonald (Western Isles), David Marshall (Glasgow Shettleston), Michael Martin (Glasgow Springburn), George Mudie (Leeds E), William O'Brien (Normanton), Stan Orme (Salford E), Robert Parry (Liverpool Riverside), Terry Patchett (Barnsley E), Ray Powell (Ogmore), Martin Redmond (Don Valley), Ted Rowlands (Merthyr Tydfil and Rhymney), Nigel Spearing (Newham S), Ann Taylor (Dewsbury), Jack Thompson (Wansbeck), Robert Wareing (Liverpool West Derby), Tony Wright (Cannock and Burntwood).

Initial glance shows 4 of 5 Scots MPs as Central Belt, 3 in Glasgow. No surprise at all about the wee free mad people in the Wesrern Isles turning the screw.

Fucking Blunkett! What a horrible cunt. Bet his dog hates him.

I wonder how many of that list were getting drilled by their handsome young parliamentary assistant?

                Don't know.

Joe Ashton was later discovered by police in a "massage parlour" they were raiding.

Dominic Cummings in The Times wants a referendum on the European Convention on Human Rights.

Could that be the red meat for the next manifesto, to get May off the hook for a "softer than loons want" Brexit?

Everybody knew ages ago that without commitment to the Single Market and Customs Union there'd be exactly this problem. But it's not a bad idea, and concentrating on concrete stuff like borders makes sense.

Starmer sadly joined in the blue passports nonsense today. This sort of drivel makes it harder to make the case for the Single Market.

The Tory Eurosceptic wing has always loathed the whole Human Rights Gone Mad thing, it interferes with their ability to get rich by treating everyone like utter shit.

To be fair as it's presented in that article it's a bloody stupid question for a meaningful survey.

Could the whole UK be in "a" customs arrangement, rather than "the" customs union?

Liz Truss has gone on about "bringing back Saturday jobs for youngsters" will get our farms back on their feet after Brexit.

So, the future is child labour then.

A retirement age of 70 is coming soon, brexit or not. when the current age was picked 65 was an age to aspire to. Now it's middle age.

Does she think farm labourers only work on Saturdays or something?

Oh, I know that. It will, however, continue to climb to the point where people can't expect a retirement at all - once they're "voluntarily" recruited into the fruit picking version of the home guard.

A lot of agricultural work involves bending over for hours on end. I'm not sure that this is a good idea.
