Obama Did It environmental rollbacks latest:
Neocontinoids in, improved gas mileage out, oh, and in a way to defeat California CARB rules. States rights don't matter if there's no profit for the administration.
And pretty much every car manufacturer lobbied for this.
I despair of humanity.

The immediate effect is going to be an uptick in the amount of money that they get from rubes and gun industry types, and their ability to find alternative service providers is significant.

Is this going to have any, um, practical effects for him?
This on the other hand is merely very funny.

..Because of Tariffs we will be able to start paying down large amounts of the $21 Trillion in debt that has been accumulated, much by the Obama Administration, while at the same time reducing taxes for our people. At minimum, we will make much better Trade Deals for our country!

No practical effects until the midterms, and then only if the Democrats take at least one house.
That said, it is becoming more and more apparent that Mueller will use his tweets against him in any report that the investigation produces.
Yeah, his stuff on tariffs rates highly on the unintentional comedy scale.

So, if Trump were theoretically guilty of such a crime, and it was prosecuted, what would the actual consequences be? Would there - for any politician - ever be even the slightest risk of jail time for campaign finance fraud? Would there even be a prohibition on running again?
Because I see everyone getting desperately excited about it possibly being illegal, and I keep thinking that there's actually no sanction that will come into play that's worth shit.

Yes, politicians can go to jail for election finance violations.
But the first order issue here is that it seems quite clear that Mueller is not going to indict a sitting President.

SB, it wasn’t clear which campaign finance violation you were referring to, and I assumed it was the “item of value”aspect of the Trump Tower meeting with the Russians, which clearly is within Mueller’s remit. I would agree with you about the Daniels payment, but that would still be something most likely to be referred by Mueller to a a US Attorney’s office, in which case Mueller’s own view on the issue remains relevant, as does the current DOJ guidance (which comes to the same conclusion).
GY, I think that there is a real chance. That a self-pardon wouldn’t withstand the inevitable court challenge, even with Kavanagh on SCOTUS.
