That’s a multi-step process that would take time and face significant procedural challenges.

The complaint intimates that Daniels received “unsolicited photographs” from 45 and that she has something analogous to Lewinsky’s blue dress.

More evidence that the Democrats, or many of them anyway, and especially that racist cunt Schumer, are no better than Trump http://mondoweiss.net/2018/03/schume...-palestinians/

It's almost like they were essentially different faces of the same greedy multi-headed, anti-democratic, people hating, self-interested capitalist hydra, or something.

One is anti-gay, one isn't. Not a difficult choice for me.

^And yes, I realise it's not quite as simple as that.

Given the choice between a pro-gay racist and an anti-gay racist and with no alternatives, then I guess you are right. It would be nice to imagine that there wee politicians who were both pro gay and pro human rights though.

I thought we'd got over Trump's hands and the dalliance with Russian courtesans.

The World Trade Organisation has just revealed that 18 member states, led by China, have raised concerns over America’s steel and aluminium tariffs:

                    Reuters has snapped the details:

WTO MEMBERS SPEAKING OUT OVER U.S. TARIFF PLAN INCLUDED EU, CANADA, TURKEY, RUSSIA, AUSTRALIA, SOUTH KOREA, JAPAN, MEXICO, INDIA AND BRAZIL

That's just about everyone. Well done, Trump.

Protectionism won Trump the presidency, flipping dem Rust Belt states, so it's not really something to go out to bat for.

No one's really been able to square the circle of going "The steel jobs aren't coming back" while actually delivering some prosperity to the Rust Belt. And even if you made Wal-Mart pay $20 an hour, there's a lot of people who don't want to work at a Wal-Mart. At least when you make steel, you make steel.

If avoiding losing a load more jobs in a trade war isn't something to go out and bat for, I don't know what is.

As Flynnie notes, that concept is not necessarily true within the bounds of a single Congressional district in Western Pennsylvania, and is almost certainly not true among likely primary/special election voters in such a district.

Our politicians are pretty shit, but if the government threatened steel tariffs because there was a by-election coming up in Aberavon, I think the government would get called on it. They'd be told to raise demand instead.

That's because you have a completely different concept of party discipline than we do.

Our government left the fucking EU because of an election.

Right, but it didn't threaten a trade war because of one seat it didn't even need.

There's literally nothing you can do for those people. You can not want to work at walmart because it doesn't pay as well, or because the conditions are terrible, But if people are only going to define real work as pretty primitive 1950's style work in a basic, low value industry then they're going to be very disappointed by the 21st century or they should move to Asia where such stuff happens now.

We've moved into a political era where if steel tarriffs bought one job back to Pennsylvania and cost 1,000 jobs in California, the response would be "HA! Owned the libtards!"

I'm wondering where in Asia is there a form of cuisine that would clash with the american palate. Even Tofu is almost nice in China.

Possibly the other way round. Asia (excluding the subcontinent) is not big on cheese. Can't imagine a Wisconsinite enjoying that.

Spice doesn't seem like a feature of middle American cuisine.

Not really, unless there's Hungarians floating around.
