It probably helps to be Canadian but...

Letterkenny is just about the most hilarious thing on TV right now.

Youtube just has clips, you might have to dig around for the actual episodes, but it's worth the trouble.

God damn, I could listen to those guys all day. it's like every city boy/redneck conversation I've ever had, compressed into one stream of consciousness dialogue.

Says it's on The Comedy Network, but can't say I've ever seen it on the guide.

It's on Crave out here (don't know if that helps.)

I've watched all the clips on YouTube multiple times but there doesn't appear to be anyway to see the full episodes here. I can't get Crave and I don't think Comedy Central or anyone has picked it up.

That's too bad. There's pure gold in them. For example the full bar washroom bit (from the extended clip I posted) is a solid classic.

I figure it will end up on Netflix someday or be available on DVD. Out Netflix has Danish shows and what not.

It's taught me a lot. I learned what all-dressed chips are.

When we buy the assorted box of Halloween sized chips, I always eat the All Dressed. My kids ask about them and I tell them that they're not very good, which is why I eat them...so they don't have to.

I should add, the absolute best chip possible is Miss Vickie's Balsamic Vinegar and Sweet Onion. If you see a bag, pay whatever they're asking and try them.

(Handy tip. Watch past the credits.)

Ep3 was a bit weak, but 4 hit its straps again.
Great stuff. Pitter patter, let's get at 'er!

On the strength of this thread, I have availed myself of Season 1, and will watch a bit later. I hope it is "Kickass". Reed.

I wish there was more on YT. The skids' meth-dance, (in s01e01) is side-splitting. A cross between Marilyn Manson and Pans People.

As WOM says it's so spot on in terms of types. My friend Andrew grew up in Newfoundland. After the bay froze hard in Winter he and his buds would drive, or push, an old truck out onto the ice. Beginning in January they'd spend Friday nights throwing rocks at it, until it sank. Sometime in March usually.Canadian country pastimes eh.

Why is it called Letterkenny? That's where my Papa was from. (Grandad).

Cannon is the family name, he was one of a long line of Michaels.

FIGS, lots of small Ontario (and Maritime) towns are named after Irish (and particularly Ulster) towns, much in the way that New England is full of East of England place names.

Each reflects the relevant migration patterns.

They chose the name as being very plausible, without being actual place. It is supposedly based on Listowel, which is Keeso's hometown (the Ontario one, not the one in Kerry).
