    And if @getinthesea is your cup of tea (I liked it for a bit, but the joke wore thin) then @wewantplates manages a similar level of indignation.

        I quite like:

        @oniropolis - art/architecture
        @killscreen - slightly more thoughtful articles on indie gaming
        @galactickeegan - Kevin Keegan in space
        @longform, @longreads and @gdnlongread - for more substantial reading

            What did you do to get blocked, Guy?

            Kill Screen is good (although very occasionally loses me in an attempt to analyse something at a deeper level than maybe I'd try to), it's a shame that there aren't more decent regular sources of gaming articles. Kotaku does mainstream stuff well, Eurogamer does news, but since Offworld stopped publishing Kill Screen is the only place I can find slightly more esoteric stuff.

            Although I doubt I'm quite the tastemaker that will bring readers flocking.

                Yes, but I haven't found a way to filter out all the industry news and just get the interesting design/post mortem/no Twinkie pieces.

                    It's not a direct substitute of course, but there are quite a few podcasts that specialise in that sort of thing, the Game Design Roundtable being the most obvious. Idle Thumbs is less monomaniacal, but is very design-heavy, and just a great listen all round. See also: Daft Souls, Crate & Crowbar, and for strategy stuff Three Moves Ahead.

                      Does anybody know how to make the Twitter timeline in chronological order, like a timeline should be. It used to be and it no longer is.

                      Very weird to follow tweets for a football match that are out of order.

                        I find myself getting angry with Bury's feed just for the sake of getting angry with Bury's feed.

                        i was justified in having a go at them for referring to the 'Retail Store' the other week though. Third Division clubs have club shops, not retail stores.

                        I also talk about the book far too much on there as I look to shift the last few copies. Roll up.

                          Depends on your platform.

                          On twitter.com:
                          Log in to your account on twitter.com and go to your Account settings page.
                          Under Content, look for Timeline and toggle the box next to Show me the best Tweets first to change the setting.

                          Twitter for iOS:
                          On your profile, tap the gear icon and select Settings.
                          Tap the account whose settings you’d like to adjust.
                          Under Timeline, tap Timeline personalization.
                          Next to Show me the best Tweets first, tap to turn it off.

                          Twitter for Android:
                          Tap the overflow icon
                          Tap Settings.
                          Tap Timeline.
                          Next to Show me the best Tweets first, uncheck the box to turn it off.

                              Seems Twitter have decided that it should be this way. So I get the news backwards.

                                I find that even though I have toggled my timeline to show latest tweets when I sign in, it shows 'you may have missed'.

                                I click on my 'home' button again, and it goes to chronological order. A mild annoyance.

                                    Use TweetDeck, people. It's not perfect but it's way better than doing it using the awful website (and infinitely simplifies things if you've got multiple accounts).

                                      Agreed on TweetDeck. I also ponied up the few bucks for the Tweetbot apps on iOS, and like them more than the standard Twitter apps.

                                        I'm a big fan of Twitterrific on iOS (the Mac app has been abandoned). The ability to filter out things you don't want to read is second to none.
