Outstanding. Farage is a masterpiece. O'Neill is great, and the polar bear is just a simple and very welcome belly laugh.

I think Dave's hoping Hungary go all the way just so he can crowbar Kiraly into every strip. Not that that's a bad thing, of course - wahey!

                The day after one

Second panel slayed me, and the entire strip has cheered me up a smidgen in what has been a truly horrible week.

This may have my favorite BDG gags ever. Glorious.

Hodgson went on the Bateaux Mouches with Lewington rather than watching Iceland live.

Yeah, it's in Ronay's post mortem in the Guardian.

Evidently, Woy had never really seen Paris before.

I actually got the Gunshow reference for once. Considering how quickly he's having to knock these out, I'm surprised he hasn't gone the full XKCD.

Have to mention how well he captured the magnificent lustrousness of Gunnarsson's beard.

If BDG is willing to walk among us once more (don't forget where you came from, laddie) I'd love to know how he got this one done so quickly. A lot of the 'in-season' ones can be anticipated to some degree - the fixture list, the predictable characters involved.

This time he couldn't have known beforehand that Iceland were going to win ... or COULD HE?

I'm a huge BDG evangelist, and often send the links to people I think ought to like them. Was stunned when a former colleague told me last week at his birthday BBQ he didn't know what I was on about, when I acted out a particularly memorable recent frame.

                                                    He doesn't open the links....

I will buy several copies and give them as presents (last week I bought him Ken Loach at the BBC, which is all on youtube anyway). And BDG is cheaper.
