    The Tragically Hip

Can we settle for having a media star turn out to be a vicious rapist and a mayor with a crack habit?

      The Tragically Hip

The funniest musical comparison I've heard is that "they're like REM, with riffs".

I read his statement on Facebook about that. Think there's an animated film too.

Have you heard the deluxe version of Fully Completely. 2 bonus tracks and a live recording from 1992.

Gord is interviewed by Peter Mansbridge tonight on The National. It'll turn up online if you keep an eye out, I'm sure.

Very sorry to hear about this. I'm not very well acquainted with TTH but have found the accounts here and elsewhere of what they mean to their fans and their unique place in Canadian life both fascinating and moving.

There are relatively few truly powerful images that embed in the national consciousness and remain there.
Gord in a feathered tophat, silver pants and Jaws t-shirt singing for his life is one that has joined the catalogue.

Choir! Choir! Choir! are doing a big singalong tribute tonight at Toronto City Hall. These are usually very lovely. They've done them for Bowie, Prince and Glen Campbell, and they draw a pretty good crowd.

This is very good, from Gord's doctor, on the first anniversary of his passing.

I got the Blu-ray of the final show in Kingston for Christmas. I still haven't seen it. I'm going to have to wait until I feel emotionally strong enough. I strongly suspect I'm going to cry.
