Thanks for the link, I have put it on in place of the tennis. I'm not expecting much from this but you never know.

Tom Hřgli has a decent shout at this honour, albeit in the previous iteration of this tournament.

Darlo's Amar Purewal hits another hat-trick!

I actually went to the whole tournament.

In fact me and my friend were the only two people who travelled to watch it, other than Russian tourists who holiday in Abkhazia anyway.

There was plenty of journalists there, and we ended up getting interviewed 8-10 times from people as far and wide as Moscow based journalists (Russian and British) to the NY Times.

We actually got a mention in The Guardian, Al Jazeera, and a blog written by an American photo journalist who was covering the tournament.

We've been watching oversea's football as a hobby for 25 years, and that was probably our best trip.

I'm writing a Blog about our trip, which is nearly finished, so I might post a link to it, unless there's any rules saying I can't?

Thrillingly, there is a Conifa shop where you can now buy matchworn strips.

The General Secretary of CONIFA, a German guy, who I met and socialised with in Abkhazia, is an avid colletor of national shirts.

He's only a handful short of the complete FIFA and CONIFA lists.

Whilst over there, I noticed all the volunteer's were wearing a tracksuit top in Abkhazia green, which looked really good.

I made a promise to stop one after the final and offer to buy one, but the closing ceremony lasted nearly as long as the match, and I didn't see anyone wearing them that night.

Bit gutted I never got one thinking back now.

See, I hate all that. There are nations whose identity can be really boosted by things like the Conifa and could even become FIFA members through it and it doesn't need crap like that and Sealand. Nice shirt though.

Have written before about Pohnpei where I lived, and of Paul Watson's book Up Pohnpei about football there. Interesting piece about how hard it is to get FIFA membership https://theculturetrip.com/pacific/f...rding-to-fifa/

The draw for the finals was made today. As it's in London there are a few OTF ers who might be able to get along to one or two games

(At least three of) the venues have been announced - Enfield, Sutton & Bromley. I'm looking at doing Abkhazia vs Felvidék, and Northern Cyprus vs Tibet on June 2 in Enfield.
