I've noticed they seem much quicker there to book for dives and 'over-reacting'. Never known anyone booked in England for that, Drogba would have about 50 yellows for that alone.

Are a lot of goals scored from long throw-ins like Inter's second.

The first point reflects Collina's* particular concern at trying to limit "simulation" of all kinds, which has long been a problem here.

The goal off Maicon's long throw was a fluke; it is no more common than in England.

Italian television coverage has not yet reached the tecnical sophistication of Sky's coverage of the Premier League.

* for those that don't follow Serie A closely, Collina was put in charge of referees for both Serie A and Serie B last year, and has taken a very hands on approach to the job.
