I really hope that Mullins has a terrible week, for variety's sake. But, on the other hand, it's good for the sport for the best horses to win the best races.

I went to the Cheltenham Gold Cup a couple of years ago. I thought it was one of the best days out I have ever had at a sporting event. The atmosphere and crowds were terrific and being packed in on the terraces close to the finishing line is a feeling I won't forget in a hurry. Better than the National I thought which is full of day trippers and not true sports fans.

The bookies normally take a bit of a caning at Cheltenham so expect Mullins to do fairly well.

Not done a full study yet but I'll be having a few bob on the wonderfully named Thistlecrack in the [strike]Stayers[/strike] World hurdle and the favourite in the Mares' hurdle.

Would love to see Cue Card win the Gold Cup.

One day I WILL make it over for Cheltenham. Could cycle there at a pinch from my parent's house. Coming back full of beer and winnings would be fun.

I only ever bet on Cheltenham. I have an internet account into which I put E50 7 years ago and I've still got E20 left. I"ve backed 4 races a day every day since. Massive entertainment for 30 Euro.

Can't see past Douvan in the second, so I've doubled it up with Vroum Vroum Mag for a tiny bit of value. Not so keen on Mullins' other two hotpots so I'm not tempted by the four-timer.

Have done Kruzhlinin in the third and Identity Thief in the Champion Hurdle. Quite like Southfield Royale and Native River in the 4.50 but yet to pile in....
