Impressive performances all round from England Women to beat New Zealand, who started well but faded embarrassingly, today. It seems the World Cup hangover is finally over, with the likes of Sciver, Brunt and Shrubsole all finally putting in decent performances again, Ecclestone looking good throughout, and Katie George looking a prospect.

Bookies scrambling to tweak those odds on 2019 WC as Kuldeep Yadev gets rid of three of England’s best in the 14th over.

Not sure you can use T20 to predict a 50 over WC.

I suppose Andrew Tye being exhibit A.

But it is significant that this English team looks no better equipped to deal with a quality leggie than its predecessors.

Kemar Roach with 5 Bangladeshi wickets in his first 5 overs for just 6 runs. Ban 18-5 after being put into bat in Antigua.

43 all out despite Jason Holder taking Roach and Gabriel out of the attack after just 5 overs each. Holder and Miguel Cummins then cleaned up the remaining 5 wickets between them.

Windies 90 for no loss at tea.

                  This could get ugly.

143-9. Bangladesh have a lot of innings plus 200+ run defeats.

My first sighting of Bangladesh on TV was this disaster, on holiday in India. They lost by an innings and 310.

Jermaine Lawson took 6 for 3 in the second innings. It was like an old Nat West Trophy first round tie, except scheduled for 5 days.

Kuldeep's figures in England's innings in the ODI today. Given those figures England have done reasonably well to get to a score they can defend (260/8 with one over left)

Meanwhile in Galle, South Africa are 86/6 at lunch in response to Sri Lanka's 287. And 86/6 represents a recovery of sorts from 51/6

126 all out. The 7th wicket partnership got 64 of them.

Sri Lanka 111/4 at the close, 272 ahead

Bit of a collapse from Sri Lanka, all out for 190, but that still leaves SA with 352 to get to win, which seems challenging on the wicket. They haven't started well in reply and are currently on 23/2. Elgar and Amla gone.

Edit: three down now, Perera's got all of them

36/6. I have a feeling that 352 is out of reach.

Judging by the scorecard, that's quite some performance by Karunaratne with the bat - South Africa are 58/8 and it looks like his runs alone would have been enough to give Sri Lanka the win. His match total currently 38 runs more than South Africa's entire team has managed in two innings. Impressive in a low scoring contest.

73 all out, Sri Lanka win by 278.

                                            Will SA report the pitch?

India need around 16 runs per over off the last seven to win. They’ve barely tried to chase it down after the fifth or sixth wicket.

Run rate now just over 36 - England should allow them to bat 50 overs just for a laugh.

Can anyone fathom any plan to what India, and Dhoni in particular, were doing in the final stages?

It was like some sort of protest.

The 49th over was a maiden (though that was post-Dhoni)
