The paragraph below neatly sums up the mentality of death penalty supporters--I suppose murder isn't really murder to them if it happens at the hands of a convicted prisoner or the state.

We don’t want him back on the streets. Hopefully some dog loving prisoners will make sure he never does get out. Murder is murder whether it’s a human or a dog!
