Ursus, this confused me - Aviva was most definitely moored up at Butler's Wharf on the Thames (by Tower Bridge) at 9am and 14 hours is probably a touch under the record for an Atlantic crossing. However, it seems Joe Lewis has had multiple yachts built named Aviva, the most recent being the fourth in 2017. From what I can tell, this is the London boat, with the third (2007) being the one in New York.

I had an email alert that it was back, but I think I also had another one the same day that said it was departing. I never saw it though, but the vis has been so poor lately that I can barely see the river at times.

        Yes, I remembered correctly.

Now, where did I leave my keys?

I was wrong--it's still here this morning, only now I can see it.

It went downriver overnight. It wasn't there around 3:30

This happened a few minutes ago. I guess that answers the question 'where does the crap go'?

Or maybe they were just taking on potable water and or fuel. How would I know, I'm just a ship-stalker.

It looks as if Aviva III has finally taken her leave of us. Currently off the coast by Atlantic City.

I noticed that she was gone earlier when I was making my lunch. I couldn't find her on my map when I looked the other day. I found Aviva, but I knew it wasn't the right one because it was somewhere down south. When I clicked on the dot on the map, it said something vague like "pleasure craft" and mentioned a satellite location service that I presume I would have to pay extra to access.

                      Indeed.

For some reason she hasn’t been showing up properly on Marine Traffic, but Vessel Finder has her current position

Today's visitor is the Lady May, though she seems to be going downriver rather than anchoring up here.

Pretty snowcaps across the Hudson in your pic, Ursus. Pretty boat, too, but probably outside my price range.

It looks like a stealth yacht.

You could always commission WOM to build you one...

The Enderby Wharf cruise liner terminal is not happening. I'm definitely glad that it's not going ahead as planned, without onshore power, but I'm not sure no terminal at all is better than the status quo. We'll still have them belching out emissions in Deptford, just maybe slightly fewer of them.

Morgan Stanley are now developing cruise ship terminals?

What the hell is going on over there?

They forgot about that Atlantic City casino pretty fast.

And I'd forgotten about that too (while others Revel-ed in their losses).

It was mainly (and presumably now entirely is) a housing and hotel development. The "terminal" is basically a pontoon, a Clipper ticket office and some retail kiosks.

Office Christmas party last night at the Museum of Contemporary Art next to Circular Quay and there was a biggie in, Ovation of the Sea.

That ship looks quite ugly to me.

That's very true Paul. VA makes the point in post #91, after my post #90 of the Queen Victoria, another sideways tower block.

We had our local Bateaux Mouches knock-off Celestial glide by last night, almost certainly it’s a holdiday party on board.
