    USA Presidential election 2016

Haha, like when the Tories played Massive Attack at their party conference. The press release from the band went as follows:

We are completely fucked off with the Tories. How dare they use our music to promote their bullshit?

Massive Attack have not and will never support the Conservative party or their policies.
Obviousy written by their PR rep.

Interesting that even back in 1998 he did not use his last name.

When will Scott Walker finally make it official?

The political visual rhetoric provided by the 'gazing skywards in half-profile towards the future' leaves a lot to be desired.

Isn't that Jeb! picture part of a photoshopped joke? Where someone altered all his previous campaign pics to make it look like he wasn't just playing down the Bush thing, because of course he is.

Why were there reporters/photographers allowed in the parade route to begin with? Why couldn't they stand on the sidewalks like everyone else?

It's the same reason they're allowed on the campaign buses.

Very little at all. I didn't much like Bill, and was very strongly anti-Hilary eight years ago. I've a huge amount of time for Martin O'Malley, and would love to see Bernie do well, even if I'd fear for him in the general.

I do find the constant bedwetting over run-of-the-mill nonsense hilarious, though. "Emotionally invested"? Projection much?

No, it's not the same. It's a town parade, Clinton isn't the only one there. I assume that other people in the parade that merited media attention wouldn't have the media marching in front of them in the route, they'd be on the side.

                                              Bernie Sanders:
"If banks are too big to fail, they are too big to exist"

                                              That's his campaign screwed then.

                                                USA Presidential election 2016

                                                https://firstlook.org/theintercept/2015/07/06/clinton-honduras-coup/

The Hillary Clinton emails released last week include some telling exchanges about the June 2009 military coup that toppled democratically elected Honduran president Manuel Zelaya, a leftist who was seen as a threat by the Honduran establishment and U.S. business interests.

At a time when the State Department strategized over how to best keep Zelaya out of power while not explicitly endorsing the coup, Clinton suggested using longtime Clinton confidant Lanny Davis as a back-channel to Roberto Micheletti, the interim president installed after the coup.

During that period, Davis was working as a consultant to a group of Honduran businessmen who had supported the coup.

In an email chain discussing a meeting between Davis and State Department officials, Clinton asked, “Can he help me talk w Micheletti?”

Davis rose to prominence as an advisor to the Clintons during the Monica Lewinsky scandal, and has since served as a high-powered “crisis communications” adviser to a variety of people and organizations facing negative attention in the media, from scandal-plagued for-profit college companies to African dictators.

Ugh indeed. The Clintons and the Blairs press similar "ugh" buttons for me. The only surprising thing about that recent tranche of Hilary email leaks about her correspondence with Cherie was the revelation that they weren't all that friendly with each other.
